Question about PH meters

Just wanted to know if i can use a soil PH meter for testing my water? Also i wondered how i can calibrate one to make sure it is working correctly. Can anyone help me out?

For a comparison,
Try pure Lemon juice , it is 4.0 .
Straight Table Vinegar is 4.0.
Bakding Soda is 8.0.

or mix a half cup of it in a half cup of water.
I really don't know .
I bought some CALIBRATION SOLUTION for $5.95 off the Internet for mine. I use a $59 meter I got from www.stealthhydro.com and it also does water temp.
