Question about rockwool soaking

My rockwool (fire insulation) is slab, not cubes.I use knife cut them into cubes.First,I wash under tap water to let it wet then use salad spinner to let all washing water out ( I found out that if don't do this step,my rw cubes can't absorb the water well !)
Secondly,fix PH to 5.0 and 1ml h202 50% per liter.After 24 hours,the water turns to light yellow,pH comes at 5.5,some lime ducts on my cubes !!
So,my question is what should I do ? Does it wrong with the soaking I did ? Thanks for any input and answer, have a nice day

Find the cleanest fire insulation you can, cut into 4 inch squares or shop on ebay, and get the real deal along with better gear

I knows my stuff is bad ass but I've tried severals batch and the bag seeds could sprouted out the "industrial cubes".Then they have to be covered by perlite to let roots come out of the cubes. But this time is not the same as old times I've done before !! I live in a country can't buy gud gears,so pain the wallet everytime shopping from ebay and amazon

Under these conditions unless you have done this technique before,,, stick to convention and buy in a bag of tomato potting mix, use what your local growers use for raising tomatoes and adapt as conditions arise

The local growers don't use rw,they mix coco, soil and perlite as a mixed.
