Question about storing seeds

If I keep my seeds in a dvd container in my room which is usually about 69-70 degrees all in their original packaging will they survive a year?

Or would they survive better if I take them out of their packaging and put them into a sealed container of rice or something?

Just wondering the best way(s) to save up a seed collection.

Thanks. :weed:

I store mine in one of those little bags most seeds come in with rice, then that bag is inside another bag which in turn is stored in an airtight container in the fridge. I just sprouted 6 for 6 on Sativa Queen which is 3 or 4 years old. The main thing is to keep them cool, dry and in a dark place. Best of luck to your collection.
