i was reading something about triming all the fan leaves not connected to the buds about a week before your going to pull the plants, i was wondering if anyone has ever heard anything about this, and if you have where can i find the info or is this no a good idea

Well, seeing how the plants main resource of energy absorption is through its fan leaves, I would say this idea is a little far-fetched. Keep them on, and then when you decide to harvest cut them off. Oh here is a little writeup from Sprucezeus about when to harvest. Great read. CLICK ME TO READ.

Keep the leaves on. No one with any true experience or common sense mutilates a plant like that. I know that you see people do this from time to time but it's bad gardening.

Where are you reading/hearing all these ideas of yours? I would take everything you hear like that with a grain of salt, cuz its almost always bs, if someone has gotten good results and are telling people its a good idea you should make sure they arent just blowing smoke and have them show you some proof or at the very least detailed info to back their claim up.

Most of my fan leaves that aren't connected to the buds have fallen off by themselves. I am on day 45 today and my strain should be done sometime soon. I agree with the others, just let them stay on until they fall off by themselves. I wouldn't cut them, but I'm not an expert either.
