Hey Bro, Since we are both in nor cal and i seen what you ended up with last year (impressive) can i ask you how you prepare the hole in the ground and what soil combo you prefer for a outdoor grow? I can take it from there. Thanks Man for any info.

last year i dug a hole and added 80 quarts of potting mix. i used two types of miracle grow, fox farms and perlite. this year i went straight into the natural soil. i added some peat moss and soil amender to break up the clay, but not a whole lot. i also added a little compost. each year i will continue to add more to the natural soil. :)

Fdd2blk, 1st thanks for taking the time to respond, im sure you get bombarded with questions. 2nd ...you are a straight up expert. Your friends are lucky. I picked up some foxfarms ocean forest today to get em started anyways. Used miracle grow moisture control mixed with black gold last year with very good results. My soil is clay like also and I was thinking it was worthless ??? maybe im wrong ? Thinking now I will try different combos for the holes and see how it goes. Now if I can just figure out what to do about the moths. Was thinking of completely enclosing the girls in a wooden framed structure with screen door screen enclosing it but I wonder if the screen would diminish the sunlight ?? Thanks again bro and good luck this year.
