Question for lighting pros

Does anyone out there know if 8 40w CFL's create the same overall heat as a 150-250w HID lamp? I'm growing in a 3x8 closet, lots of head room.

read primealives post he answers ur question and some others, but if u dont want too 8 x40w = 320w so essentially it would produce more

In a space that big I would go with HID for sure you get more light for your money and hence more plant. You could easily get a 400w hps in a closet that size even if you are only using half or less to grow. Trust me the more light the better and it will pay off in the end. Good luck.
