Anyone have a theory on how to power a MOBILE 5 megawatt laser? I mean, that's a shit ton of juice, and the military wants those to fly all around to shoot down baddies. Just a thought, but how the hell would you power something that large?
This is how you power a mobile laser. ^well i was doing some research on high powered lasers, and it seems the most straighforward approach would be to use chemical reactions to create energy.
There have been field tests of these devices. I bet they've even tried it from a plane by now.
COIL
thanks. that's my baby. her name's Fredward, "The Wad" for short. found her whole litter in the street when they were about 7 weeks old.dunno but I love your doggie picture
nanotubes are very interesting. they posess a tremendous amount of potential in regards to industrial and technological application. they are very strong, and can have an amazing length/width ratio. some make great conductors, and can be used to make very miniature circuits.maybe they are using nanotechnology... some kind of atom power up thing i dont know ^^
but i was on the train, and this guy was talking to me about nanotechnology and how pc's will become 1000x faster..... he was at this place in geneve he was saying, pretty drunk but he was dresst very smart... didnt know what to think, so i just smiled and noded
i'll try to remember that. Next time i'm in need of a vast power source, i'll ring up the roadside assistance crew! I'm sure it wouldn't be the strangest call they've ever received. i'll just tell 'em i'm hunting deer...i'm sure a couple AAA's would power it
