Question for the rest of the world (So not asking American's)

America is kinda crazy right now...Everyone acts like it's fine while they watch TV, but even what's on our TV shows, show where we are.

We love to watch people bitch at each other, and fight. I bet if we had a Colosseum in America, and death matches, they would sell out every night.

If Jesus had been crucified today in America, people would have filmed it, and everyone would be taking pictures, and buying souvenirs.

We are a western civilization...So we are war driven...
We are bankrupt, and are partially owned now (due to other countries buying our debt) by China, and the United Arab Immarates...China doesn't fuck around on promises, and honor and all that....
We have been fucking around with the wrong people for centuries (Britain, Mexico, Germany and friends, Russia, Japan, North Korea, and now the Middle East) We aren't exactly everyone's best friend...
We push Mexican's back into their country, and treat them as we do any other common criminals in our country. But we take away money, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters from them people. It's like a whole new civil rights issue.
Gangs in America have constitutions of their own, and therefore we basically have independent guerrilla political parties in our streets.
We are taxed out the ass. I bet more than Britain ever taxed us, and that on top of all the shit we're forced to pay (car insurance, etc) , everyone in the country is FEELING the pain from the governments taxing, in a way they haven't in a while.
We arrest our own citizens in a "drug war" turning our OWN citizens against the country...

Question:
So, how's the rest of the world, like where your at?(Answer this first)
Are we all in the same boat, or is America down the river, without a paddle?

You are up the river without a paddle...
Are you supposed yo say "up a river?" That doesn't make any sense. You can just get out and pull the boat to shore, or go down river if you need to...

It would suck to be already down the river, and without a paddle to go against the current...
So that just makes more sense to me...

American's aren't that much different from people in the rest of the world. Most people in the world are accepting of the worst as long as they have a roof over their head and food in their bellies. That's a fact.

But is the rest of the world DOING as bad?

I am fairly confident that it is up a river without a paddle...
I'd rather be up a river than down a river without a paddle, that's weird that that's how the saying goes...
Because at least if you are upstream, you still have somewhere to go, or could get out if you didn't want to go any farther...

No... the point is you can't get out upriver, you have to brave the rapids and turbulence to get down river.
