Question on 6 plant rubbermaid growing.

I jst wanted to pick some brains at RIU. If i put 6 plants in a DWC rubbermaid container is it possible to get an oz of of each plant? Or would the roots from the clones choke each other out. I'm finding it a pain to use seperate containers per plant. Jst too much work to keep up with. Thanks.

ive seen that done before the thing is you would have to be working with clones or fem seeds...otherwise just pray for girls. oh and proper nutrient scheduling is always vital...you could pull more than an oz...stay positive peace

Yeild depends on lighting and veg growth. if your running 400w hps, 4 oz would be on the low side of harvests. Aim for a gram per watt, or Half that for clf. As for multiple plants. Different strains like different ppm. So it will work regardless, but it would be better to do it from clones of he same awsome plant!!!. You also don't want fem and male roots intertwining. Seperate areas in the tub if your growing from seeds. And don't forget to block out all the lght!

It is possible to pull that much, but remember, you want it, you have to work to get it. Of course you can grow all six together, Roseman at one time grew three together ( I believe it was three, not many though) one time and pulled a lot of product. I personally leave my tubs and in to my buckets once the root hits the water. I know it is alot of work to do, but I just find that the root ball does so much better with more. When I grow now, instead of growing 7 or 8 plants, I grow three really well taken care of plants and let them get as big as they can inside my ten. I get plenty of yield for myself and my friends...just my 2 pennies..hope they helped!

I used 18 Gal rubbermaid tote with two 6" mesh pots filled with hydrotone. Grew them under only 175w HPS with General Hydroponics Grow and Bloom with a large airstone to mix it up. I vegged for about 3 wks and flowered for 9 weeks. They (PurePowerPlant) grew to over 3ft. and filled the container with roots. The pots were busting from root growth. Harvested more than oz plant. I learned a few things though. Two big plants will fill up a hydroponic container very fast! I may try just one next time. I also found that trying to transplant from mesh pots (started with 6 in same size container in 3" pots) was a royal pia as the roots get very stuck. 6" pots is the smallest I would go, unless you can find some with bigger mesh than the standard black plastic ones I used.

What size tub and pots do you use? Im always looking to expand (yield), and three is better than two (plants) in this case. Also, what size and type of light?

Well, here it goes. I hope everyone enjoyed the bump, nudge....grope remark! Just trying to liven things up. My lights r just advanced fluorescent lights. I use a Satellite 2. Only about 24,0000 lumens or some stuff. However, i accidentally mixed my grow lights with my bloom. The stuff is in chinese if they didnt have a dif color i wouldn't have noticed. Even doing that, i still got 2 oz's (on a mother plant that i fcted up on). Which to be honest is not much but if u multiply that....well lets say U can gain a profit. Either way I think that i could possibly get 1 oz per plant if i grew each plant to about 8 inches before flowering. I have some nice air pumps, got 3, 142 sunleaves blah blah (Dont have them infront of me but they have tons of air/ per second ). If u keep ur plant small u can probably get atleast an once of each plant. U dont need a 600 watt HPS. The Heat is what scews u. I will document this jst wait. I've bought the majority of sht. Also right now i have 5 Snow white plants flowering in 4 five gal buckets. I put 2 in 1 bucket to see how they would produce. I also LST'd 2 of these plants and left 1 plant alone that i only topped. If that topped plant produces 1 oz than I'm gonna b very happy. The plants roots arnt that big. I got a nice grow tent and measured my sht. I hope this works out this month will be my 3rd harvest, but this is def the biggist. I have a plan, hopefully it works out. By the way, this website could potentially generate millions of dollars! If we worked together imagine what could be accomplished! I jst need a couple of years to get my brewery going. Later

Oh yeah my tube is 10 gal and is abt 20 inches long (1ft 8 inches). I believe i can atleast get 4 plants in there.

Sorry i went off in a totally dif direction. Whenever, i mix pot and liquor it happens. With the lights i use i am limited to how much i can produce. Since they are not HID they can only penetrate about 1.5 feet. NoSwagBag- I had 1 plant in a 4'' solo cup in a 10 gal tub. It's a hike to my hydro shop so i jst cut holes in the cup. I think that my Snow White plants were made to be short. Only grw about 2 ft, and got abt 2 oz off it. Though i have to admit there was only abt 1.5 oz of nice bud the rest ws jst the small lower caylexes (aka head stash). They plant was def bursting outta the cup, i don't recomend it. Unfortunately i run 210 watts on my flouros, so u def have me beat as far as cost savings and bud growth. The weed off of this is very nice. I bought a fem PPP seed, I'm curious as to how good the weed is. Was it one of your favorites? Oh yeah i only transplant my clones from their cloning spot to where they will stay perminately.

I wonder if root room is extremely important to bud growth. If so then the plants i got in the 5 gal buckets may produce something better then my mother plant. Either way only time will tell. Thanks again. If i forgot to rep anyone, let me know. Peace

NoSwag Believe it or not I am still using my CFL lights and bulbs from StealthHydro. I have 7 lights and bulbs from them. Crazy I know to some, but I LOVE my CFL's. I am using my tubs to start my seedlings in and then transfer net pot and all to 5 gal buckets and each net pot has their own bucket.

ImLovinit...by the way, I used my CFL's this whole grow, because I like my CFL grows better than my 600w grows I have done in the past. Heat was never an issue either, had 12,000 BTU's cooling that light only. I just like my CFL plants better...many people still argue this, but I think it is up to the individual...so I hear ya!!

hey long horn, what kind of harvest are you getting from dwc and clf? im curiouse to compare. ive growen soil before, and its safe to say that you get around 3.-.5 grams per watt. what is your experience with clf and dwc?

It sounds funny but I don't really get in to how much I got per watt and such. I don't sell so I just grow and trim what I get. Never figured it out by light cause I play around with my lights. One time a CFL grow or one time a HID grow. Sorry I cant help you there

that is the worst answer i have ever gotten... im sure you can understand my disapointment. i agree, its better to grow for yourself and have a sick stash, many strains for many different days, i got some indica shit going right now, bagseed n clones. but after that i plan to do a mostly sativa, to lift it all up!

I read somewhere that CFL's produce a light spectrum that can be more easily used by plants than an HPS. The only thing is that CFLs don't penetrate the plants canopy as far as an HPS. In my current grow i put 2 100watt(25w) CFL's to see if they bolster any of my grow. Unfortunately I found the start of a f#cken Spider mite infestation. Cant believe they got into my grow, must have come in on my clothing.Those things suck! I have a can of Safer Bio-Chrysanthemum bug killer. Hopefully it will kill these bastards. I went and searched around, seems like 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle will do the trick. Others have suggested neem oil with 2 drops of dawn dish soap. Either way Keep your eyes pealed for these, they can destroy a crop in no time. Good luck. Peace!

I haven't grown PPP fem, but have PPP, and let me tell you. Sticky, crystal covered sweetness, and I do mean sweetness. It smells great! Grows great indoor and out. My personal favorite! Outside in your neck of the woods they will do great.

i grew 2 ppp in an 18 gal bucket for 3 weeks from clone and got well over 4 ounces dry using a 400 watt hps. I used technaflora nutes at no more than 1250 ppm. The smoke is awesome. You have a rushing head high and then a devestating body high.
