Question on drying and curing

If the bud gets to dry, do you have to burp it still. Just not as often? I cured it for three days slow, and you couldn't even feel a monster rip. Super smooth. Then I decided to try to get it to dry out faster, I put it in room with ac to bring down the rh to like 56 whereas in the closet it was 70. I guess with the ceiling fan, and box fan as well as the air conditioner I dried it out extra crispy over three days. The taste is affected, and the smoothness. However the taste and smoothness has gotten a bit better the day, or two it's been in the jar.

I read on another site people don't even worry about reading the RH in the jar. Like everyone that posted except for the topic creator. Some other grow site. You just know when it's about time to jar. Which I do now due to having last years harvest develop mold, and this years being to dry. Oh well I have two more plants that are in 2, or 3 weeks of bloom. I'll get those right.

Anyways the question I asked before. Since it's probably to dry should I still burp it? I get bud out of it maybe twice a day, and I don't leave the lid off for very long.

Also I could never get the RH inside the container (A big circular coffee mate creamer thing) to go below 70% only if I left the lid off it would stay around maybe 65. The room RH was reading 56. I got a 10 dollar accurite from walmart. It seems to be right it pretty much lines up with what the local weather says.

Since you are getting bud out of it daily you would feel it if it was too wet, then you could burp it if necessary.

If the buds are too dry then they are past the curing stage, burping and trying to cure them is pointless at this point. You are better to start the curing process too early than too late, at least if your buds are still too moist you can dump them out and dry some more.

Don't be afraid to burp em. I understand you want them to be sealed. You also don't want mold. I missed a one oz. jar just one day and it had mold in it which made it worthless. For my area I open them up for half an hour once a day for at least 2 weeks (that's after they have hung in the dark for about 7 days. There a million ways to do this stuff, most all of them work.... There are also quite a few ways to screw them up if you go too far to the right or lest so to speak...

Enjoy life!
