questions about how to plant seed after germination

I am currently germinating my seeds using the paper towel method. Once they have sprouted and are germinated i am a little confused. I am planning on using solo cups to put the fox farm ocean spray soil into. My question is how tightly should i pack the soil in the cup. Also, after i make my hole for the seed and lightly cover it with dirt, what do i do? do i put it into my grow room underneath my 250w hps light? and also do i water and use nutrients as soon as i put the seed in the soil?. As you can see this section is confusing me because i dont wanna mess up w/ somethin small and ruin my seeds. I appreciate any help.

I am no pro but what I do is just make a small finger hole. Drop the seed in with the root pointing down and lightly cover it. You can put light on it I guess but it wont matter till it grows through the soil and the two little leaves are out.

if your using fox farm them you wont need to fert it for like 2-3 weeks.

What about the water? I am having trouble after the seeds are germinated, to get them to sprout. Not sure if I am water too much, or too much light.

i think the paper towel method is over kill. i have used it a few times, but it always seems sketchy movin that little baby as it's just poppin. I will just germ my seeds in that solo cup. just put the seed in the dirt (about 1/2" below the surface) and keep it wet until you see it poke out. after it sprouts, only water when the dirt is dry NO NUTES!!! ONLY WATER!!! your babies wont need any food for 2 or 3 weeks depending on your soil mix.
it is also very effective to germ your seeds in rockwool cubes. once again, not requiring you to move the bean after it pops.

after they sprout, keep them under the lights for either 24-0, 20-4, or 18-6 light schedule. any of them are fine for veg cycle. i like 20-4. (i like to let them sleep a little.. but not too much)

how i do it is let my seeds sprout ina we paper towel for about a week, then i take a wooden dowel and poke a hole as deep as the root is off of the seed, then i put it in and cover it up
