Questions about moving to Cali

Hey guys, I'm thinking about moving to Cali. For one, I would love to grow and help people out. Two, I would not mind the surplus revenue that comes along with it. So I have a few questions, if I was going to sell on the wholesale distribution line what prices could I expect to make per pound? I know quality is a big breaker and I beleieve my stuff can and will meet dispensaries needs. Also, is it better to grow outdoors or indoors. I know the benefits of each but how expensive can land be over there?

The corporation I work for is huge and has job offers all over Cali. So finding a job would not be hard. I plan on vacationing there in about a month. Any idea on where I should go to scope things out?

I have a few more questions but they should arise after ppl start posting. Thanks for your help guys.

Central CA right now is flooded - top shelf is going for $50 an oz - save it for winter or move it down south

EDIT: Be careful where you choose- the best places to grow are the worst places to make money.... My area is very good for growing, thats why there are 500-1500 plant grows that are COMMON in a 20 mile radius of my house

Land is pretty expensive here - $400k for a 15 acre lot - $750k if it has a house- a million+ if it has a big garage multiple buildings on the property

Doesn't matter we have locations all over Cali. 50/ounce wow, and that for medical grade huh? Is it possible to move to places like humboldt county and grow the maximum amount and ship all over Cali through a distributor?

I do not know the specifics on Humboldt - but I live in the southern end of the SF bay area and we are truely flooded with outdoor right now as EVERYBODY has a plant or two, some have more, some have lots more... If I were to wait outside the local market every day for a week I would see 3 or 4 people that I KNOW have 500-1500 plant grows because I have been told by them or have friends that work for them(cutting plants, and trimming) The main problem in my area is knowing when to pull, or knowing a really good way to protect your plants from the rain because battling mold is no fun at all, This year we had a heat wave and it finished our plants early for some reason - didn't want the couch lock and there were enough amber crystals+ the bud was developed far along enough - we had about 1 week early on a plant or 2 but 2 days before a big rain/thunder storm so everything worked out in the end, last year we pulled on a stretch of sun through rain and had a hell of a time with it.

Glad the crop came out fine writtin, mold is the worst fer sure. One of my friends friend grows in SoCal and makes 3-5 million a year growing outside so the story goes. I'm guessing they are selling at wholesale and probably some of it is going on the black market. Where I live now is getting shipments from Cali so I can deft see the supply is really exceeding demand. Does anyone know which areas are allowed to grow the most plants?

Spawned - I have friends(some of the 500+ growers) that are shipping to new mexico, arizona, texas, and all the way up to NY at times - I personally would rather just donate to friends in the area that dont grow(no room) and share the wealth - they usually help me out with nutes nd soil when the time comes :)

Can't beat free nutes/soil.... I had a goal that if I could moved I would try to make 2 mil in surplus revenue from my profit if you know what I mean. Just wondering how far out of a goal that might be. I am pretty connected where I'm at but I need to find aa good place to start. I'm starting to lean towards a possible warehouse grow there. I've heard a few stories about people putting male plants near a large amount of females and also people renting helicopters to drop pollen out to throw off a medical grow.

There have been jokes(?) of people going around with males here and hiding them in bushes but i've never seen it or heard of a personal experience just "my friends friend had this happen" or " my cousins friend" but yeah... The people who grow big where I live all grow outdoors. The indoor growers are very few and far between in this area, I mean look on craigslist and you can find MMJ clubs looking for buyers for indoor - also warehouse grows have been getting busted in my area this year(probably 3 or 4) and around the same for outdoor but they are all million dollar grows - Everybody here knows where there are plants and who has how many - and who the fkn rippers are. Word gets around, and people honestly end up missing if they mess with the wrong grows here. Lots of bikers who don't give a fuck... There are roads you just don't go down, cops don't go down.

Makes sense, any safer areas of Cali where competition isn't too controlling lol. Deft don't want to go missing... is their a distribution line of people purchasing at wholesale prices in large quantities with connections that sell to dispensaries?

There are people that come to CA and ship it out- they pay between $2k-$3.2k a lb(from what i've "heard" ;) ) and if you have HQ indoor - you get top prices $200+ an oz(if you know the right people you will find the ways to move it)

Ca (cen valley like another user said is flooded... and it's very conservative here!) But the older voters + politicians know the revenue in taxes it brings to the local area.

but.........

I would not say ANY place in CA or other states are "SAFE" for large scale growing. Thank you fed-gov for saving us from that harmful plant while you
make sativex and marinol long as you get more then your share!

NorCal sounds like a good place. I would only grow the legal amount set by the state but are their distribution companies that purchase large quantities at wholesale pricing? For instance growing 99 plants and yielding a pound a plant indoors and then selling it all in one shot to the distributor?
