Questions about scrog and regeration (indoor)

I have some indoor medical purps that is about 21 " tall and now filling up a horizontal scrog grid. The shit is bushyas all hell and Im vegging until the scrog is full.

Here is my question... After I turn to 12/12 and flower it out... If I just chopped everything above the scrog and left everything below..about 21" with some branches and i assume it will have small buds/flowers...Can I regenerate it by going to 27/7

Is this faster or any benefit to cloning? I kinda wanted to experiment, and after reading a lot about regen it seems leaving whats under the scrog should be enuf to keep plant alive for re-gen...

Has anyone ever done this with scrog?

More than enough. you can regenerate a plant thats got one or 2 growth points left(i know in your situation w/the scrog you'll be keeping alot more than a few but i was just pointing out how little of it you can regenerate from.
I take my clones in flowering cleaning out some of the lower branches as clones taken from a flowering plant and reverted to the veg stage make an unbelievable amount of branches and end up being plants perfect for scrog or being mothers b/c of it.
Experimenting never hurts. ive done alot of it myself as i think their is a big difference in reading about things and actually experiencing and seeing them for yourself.
