questions for first grow.

planning on using 4x4x6 grow tent 600w hps air vented lite. the grow tent comes with intake and exhaust vent for this . also co2 tank not sure wich timer, regulator , ect. system to go with tank to feed tent? i want to use this as a flower chamber only. plan on 6 plants grown in soil. any suggestions for soil mix recipes would be great. plan on advanced nutrients for feeding. is there stuff only for hydroponics ? can i use 16oz plastic cups for entire veg period ? i have a shelf space where i can put 2ft flour lites. any suggestions for flour lites i could use for whole veg period? if flour lites and 16oz cups wont work i was thinking of getting switchable ballast mh-hps? and use tent for flower and veg. then use space for mother to take clones how short can i keep mother ? flour lites on 24/7 good enough for healthy mother? want to keep mother so i dont have to worry about seeds any suggestions would be great
