Questions from a noob.

Okay people I am going to be cultivating some various strains in a side room of my home. I decided a year ago to grow and now that I have done 2 indoor grows (Soil/CFL Setup) I want to upgrade... I decided with the "Bubbleponics" method. I went to Walmart and bought a rubber made container... an aquarium air pump (1200 rated), 4 small air stones (small rock type stones), and varous needed elbows and joints to join all stones. My question is will this be a sufficent pump? Bubbles are being pumped just nothing violent... And 2 how high should I fill my water level to in comparison to my net baskets...

Then if anyone has cleaning and nutrients information for this type of information I would also appreciate it... Thank you and have a great day - Shane

Keep the water from right below to a inch below your plants. I will depend on how established the rooted start is. You want your medium wicking up the water to stay wet. Hard to say on the pump, not sure what 1200 means. The more bubbles the better. Maybe take a picture or short video and post it so we can tell.

Well, if you haven't settled on a brand of nutes yet, and if you are a noob, then my stuff may be what you are looking for....

just a heads up:)

And if you want to jump into hydro, there is no better method to get started with than the trusty bubbling bucket.

Definitely on the right track here.

Good luck!

General Hydroponics has some easy nutrients out there. How many plants are you planning for your bucket?
I have a small single air pump in one 5 gallon bucket and it works fine.

Okay ladies and Gentlemen i found the box to the air pump...

It is apparently made by "AQUA CULTURE" it is sold through Walmart. The Box reads

"5-15 GALLON/Single Outlet, Aquarium Air Pump"

Then on the back it reas something along the lines of the following...

"...designed for 5-15 gallon aquarium and can accomodate up to 3 air-powered devices includding bubble stones...includes check valve... pumps up to 1200cc per minute"

So what do you guys think? The little engine could or no go? i have this "TYPE" of air stone(s)... (4 of them)

Well i hope this helps... and two... i would really really appreciate any info about how often to feed nutes and how to go about choosing them.... info. on how often to clean res. would help also... these are pretty basic things that i'd hope a forum of bubbleponic growers could answer ;)
