Questions on Female to Female polination

Hey all, First post and first grow so go easy one me. I've been researching a good deal and am familiar with using CS to force fem plants to produce pollen. My main question is, if I go out and buy 2 clones from the same mother and use one clone to pollinate the other. Will i get feminized seeds that are basically genetic copies of the mother, or will i get a bunch of genetic garbage. I have no real plans to make the next cannabis cup winning strain, id just like to be able to dedicate two plants to an endless supply of seeds each time i buy clones. Its kinda the weed equivalent of copying a movie from a dvd that I rented, only in this case its not digital data but the strains genetics data.

This is speculation. I have produced fem seeds.

If the clones are from the same mother, you are going to get seeds that produce plants very similar to the mother.
To speculate further, I imagine there will be little variation from seed to seed.

jogro seems to have a really good handle on this.

I just turned my small veg room into a fem seed room.
The next batch will be Tangerine Dream x itself and A-Train

To tag on:

(I forgot to mention, you are definitely not going to get garbage)

I have done some crosses and the resulting seeds will vary.
The science says 50% will be a blend, 25% will lean towards the mom and 25% will lean towards the dad.
While I have found this to be true, with cannabis the male tends to show up more in all the crosses (my opinion)

jogro correctly referred to us as 'pollen chuckers' as opposed to breeders
I don't really have the time/space/patience/plant count... to grow out phenos, test them, decide if they are good enough to keep, back cross them...
I do not mind if my crosses have some variation, that is fun.

very cool, I have access to medical quality clones so as long as there isnt some kinda inbreeding problems where combining the same genetics creates some feeble monster plant then it should be cool. I really just wanna be like "i just bought 2 Jillybean clones from the club and now I have a lifetime supply of medical quality feminized jillybean seeds."

Trousers nailed it... very similar but not identical. There is more variety in the seedlings than you will have in clones. I like to see the different phenos come out again.
I have been working with OG18 for a couple of years now from a single clone. I am growing out the second run of S2s and making some S3s. It seems that the phenos from the original pack have shown again in the S2 generation.

if you think about it it very hard for breeders to come out with stable clone only plants cheese for example

so I just think it may be a little more complex than that. id rather buy a pack of jillys grow out 2 fems then cs spray then line breed line if needed

Just saw trousers thing about pollen chuckers and i love it. I don't mind having some variation in phenos or in branding myself as a pollen chucker as i likewise do not have the time or resources to make world class clones and really just wanna view buying seeds/clones as a way to add to my personal seed bank rather than being necessary to produce bud. Thanks for all the reply's, I had heard that rollitup was famous for posts getting like 6 legit replies in an hour or so and you guys are proving the myth true.

You can cross two clones from the same mother and get perfectly fine seeds that will be very similar to the mother plant. Buying two clones and making fem seeds is a great idea. I figure I do 3 or 4 runs and get at least 1,000 seeds per run...

I have access to clones galore, so I am just making seeds of stuff you do not really see here much. I love blueberry, but i can get great blueberry cuts from a dispensary. No need to make seeds right now.

This pollen checker will have thousands of seeds and some interesting crosses in the next year. I am also going to do another auto seed crop in my too-hot-for-regular-plants-shed this spring.

Yea, you'll get pretty good representations of the plant you selfed from.

Most of the time I try to have two different ones to cross with each other, but if something happens and I only have one then I cross it with itself and keep the genetics. Be better than losing it completely even if it isn't a perfect copy. It will definitely be fire ass smoke if it come from the same. From what I've seen they should be fairly uniform, but I haven't done enough of a kind to really see how much variation will pop up.

I wonder how genetically different two seeds from the same mother that produce female plants are?
