Questions on future setup

I'm new here so please go easy on me guys .

I'm about to invest money in some agriculture hehe

What I have in mind for my setup is two 4x4 tents .

First Tent Plans
8Plants
2x 600W MH
4x 28W CFL bulbs for the lower part of the plant
Intake & Exhaust fans


Second tent plans
8Plants
2x 600W HPS
4x 28W CFL bulbs for lower
Portable Air conditioning unit
Mini dehumidifier


I live in a place that's hot and humid , 31c outside and 28c ish indoors

I have a few questions about my setup ,

1. Will 2x 600w work better or 1x 1000w work better ?
2. Is the 4x CFL bulbs on the bottom necessary/effective for more yield ?
3. How much yield would I expect to receive if let's say I'm an average grower (I'm growing to sell so I kinda need numbers)
4. Would I have space to grow more and if it's advisable to grow more than 8 with my current setup
5. Are there any ways to not use an air conditioning unit as those are kinda expensive

I'm assuming that tent one is veg and tent two is flower? 1x600W MH is enough for vegging.

For flowering, 1x600W hps, two would give you only modest improvements with a huge increase in heat and electrical costs. The cfl bulbs won't do much. I grow 4 plants in a 4x4 with 400W hps for flowering and yield 5-6oz per plant..

But I would like to grow 8 plants , isn't 110w per plant like the minimum ? If I use one 600w for 8 plants would i have the same yield as 2x 600w?

The CFLs at the bottom won't be much use ? I've read many grow journals and their bottom buds always don't grow because light doesn't reach there , I would really like to maximise the yield I would get . What would u advice my friend ?

600w in a 4x4 is good, it's what I use. Adding cfls are pointless imo. You would see an increase in yield running two 600w vs a single 600w but the increase would be inefficient and a waste of electricity in a 4x4.

As for your questions
1) depends, 1200w is more light but in a 4x4 you'd be better off running a single 600w or 1000w
2) 4 cfls will barely make a difference to popcorn buds, you'd be better off focusing on a specific training method and minimize/eliminate popcorn buds. (scrog, mainlining, ect)
3) depends on multiple factors, experience is better than yield when starting off and you wouldn't maximize your yield straight away anyways.
4) depends on how big you want your plants or how long you veg.
5) 28c is too warm to cool your tent. An HID will raise your temps if not cooled and you're already hot.

If I use one 600 instead of 2 , how many % of yield would I be missing out if I'm going to have 8plants at a time .

I'll use the scrog method then !

I'll be vegging them for 7 weeks and flowering them for 7 weeks so I can grow a new batch every 7 weeks , would it be advisable to have 8 in a 600w setup ? Or should I have lesser/more plants

Your on the right track. A little more research and you should be yielding huge numbers!!!!!!

There are very few varieties that will come close to 7 weeks of flowering, the average is about 12 weeks, some take up to 20 weeks flowering. If you scrog in a 4x4 8 plants are going to be ridiculously crowded and do no good. If you veg for 7 weeks I would imagine maybe 2 plants would fill up a 4x4 scrog... You are a little overambitious I think. Get some experience with your first grow before you make grandiose plans.

obviously depending on strains, 7 weeks may be on the short side for flowering time. if you are set on a 14 week cycle, is probably veg for 5 and plan on 9 in flower. or even 6 and 8. If you are planning on investing this much in the startup, get the a.c. if you do it eight, the whole setup should pay for itself the first crop. if not, it definitely will on the second crop.

What kind of cycle should I have if I want to grow a new batch everytime I harvest though so I wouldn't be wasting any time .

getting into a perpetual grow you'd probably want to have a clone, vegetative, and flowering station. if you search the stinkbud system he has a pretty slick setup that seems to have worked for quite a few people. he lays out his perpetual setup pretty well.

I recomend you watch marijuana garden rescue how to figure out light yield plant count and bucket size on youtube that video will teach every thing you need to know for your setup and give you a better idea of what to go for.
