Hello all

As the title suggests i got many questions to ask you guys. I'm getting rdy to start my first ever grow. I got the grow box rdy (0.8mX1mX1.5m) with 400watt HPS for flowering and 6+ 26watt cfl's for veg, plenty of adjustable ventilation and a cooltube. I'll be using biobizz soil plan. i've searched a lot for info for over 2 months now and i can say i'm pretty knowledgable i just lack the experience. However i still got some questions mainly about little details that might make a difference. So here it goes

1. I've made my own propagation chamber from glass. Do i need little holes for air?
2. The growbox is made of wood which is cold when i touch it. Several parts of the inner walls are warm from the lights but some others are cold. Will it matter if a branch touches the colder wall?
3. I got some little pots for germination that disoslve in the water slowly so u dont need to transplant, u just place this in another pot (i dont know how they're called). I put these in the germination chamber and then add soil around them so that if any root makes it outside it wont be hit by light. Is this right or is it too much?
4. When is the best time to water/prune/transplant or do whatever on the plants? when they're asleep/awake/about to sleep/about to wake?
5.What's the ideal temperature for seedlings? Do they need any darkness on their first week?
6. I got all-mix biobizz soil, when should i add some root juice? (bio-bizz plan says in the first week but i doubt it cause i'm sure the soil has more than enough nutrients for their beginning)
7. What temperature does the water has to be? I usually leave the water in an open container in room temperature but when i drink it,it feels like 15 celsius at most.
8. How much light does a root need to take to burn? or even a little does the trick? Cause i've seen plenty of videos of people showing root systems in the light.

That's all for now, i hope i didnt bore you guys and i also hope for some answers :)

Be well, Smoke well

I havent got all the answer bro, but i might be able to help ya out to a point...

1) Yes air holes would be the ideal, altho if its big enough, ie, has enough air to last 24 hrs, it could be ok..You'll want to lift the lid and allow a new supply of fresh air into the chamber atleast every 24hrs, Ideally every 12 hr or so.
2)Yeah that shouldnt be a problem,BUT ideally you should always try to train the branches awy from the walls of any grow chamber as this can cause moisture to build up behind the leaves and cause molding.
3) Not sure what ya meant here exactly, but if theyre in their lil soluble pots, provided theyre not tiny pots, they should be good for a week or two, then transplant the whole biz straight into your intended pots.
4)I transplant as soon as the lights come on, so they have the full benefit of the 18/6 schedule to settle down again.. others do it differently, i'm sure someone wil chip in their preferred methods..
5)Temp is crucial for proper rooting, somewhere around 18-22*C(Too high can dry out your tender seedlings too low can cause slow growth )
You can also leave them on 24/0 lighting schedule for a coupla wks, then down to 18/6..
6)I just use the nutes in the organic soil i use, never used root juice altho i kno alot of ppl do...
7)Room temp is fine, i leave my water bottles in the grow rom, so they are the always rouglhly the same temperature when i feed.
8)You can inspect roots in dullish light, just dont fuck about, check em and get em back in the soil..ie dont hold em up to your 1000w MH to inspect the root mass.

Just my .2...I'm sure plenty of others will give you their 2 cents too.
