Ok i just have a few questions...for how long should i germinate a seed before i acually plant it? And is ok to use soil that already has fertilizer in it? Also how long till i can tell its a female or male? About how often do you water it and how much?

- Germination usually takes 24-72 hrs. When the seeds have a single root (about 1/4 inch long) growing from each, they are ready to plant.

- No, you want to plant them in soil that has the least amount of ferts.

- You'll have to wait until flowering takes place to determine the sex. Flowering occurs when the lights are set to 12/12.

- Water them and then let the soil dry at least 3 inches deep before watering again.

it means your plant is healthy enough to produce nine blade leaves! good job. The purple is because you are growing a strain that reacts to cold with purple. Much like trees do in the fall. Also a plus in many peoples a opinion. You should do some research. All of your questions have already been asked. good luck

Note: the number of leaves is strain dependent. sativas have up to 13, indicas have 3-7. i currently have a plant with four.
a plant in bad health will typically lose its biggest leaves first or not produce them at all.
