Quick question about pruning

i might be crazy but i think all pruning should be done prior to flowering as not to stress the plant out .

That may very well be so but for future reference what should I be cuttingin veg? I see plants that look like bonzi trees all the time...what is the advantage of this if any?

I trim whenever really a few leaves here a few leaves there just dont go crazy. Normally I do lower fan leaves like lollipipping but I leave side growth and I do a few mid section fan leaves during flower only massive bud light blockers.

Doesn't really need a trim, looks alright.

I will however suggest you get a few lights on the lower section of your plant as it looks a bit dark down there!

Also, move them as close as you can.

imo you can top it, top it, and top it some more, but i would not prune anything. i only remove leaves that are 50% or more damaged or that are seriously covering other big colas. the plant already put the energy into growing them so let the leaves do there job and create more energy. the bonzai look you are talking about is achieved by topping the plant a bunch or by growing from clone. i can tell your plant is obviously from seed by the way it is growing. how much room do you have for vertical growth?

i do not prune unless cutting a growth shoot during veg to get 2 more to replace it, thats the only pruning I would do.if your plants got a leaf covering a budsite and you want it out of the way take a lil peice of string and tie it out of the way, takes about 15 seconds. your plant dont lose all that stored energy and its most effecient energy making abilities, which is those big fan leaves purpose.

I did top it once at the 9th node, I know its a little late but I really wanted to see how it grows when topped for my own knowledge. I have about 5 1/2 feet of head room but since i'm on a budget this time around i'm suffering in the light department.
