quick question? about watering

let it dry well up to your second knuckle ,dig that finger into the soil or let the container get light ,as light as it was when you added the soil , the roots will rot if they stay too wet

alright . another question i have 150w hps and 4 26wcfl on three plants should i turn any lights off or is it good with all of them on.. i just planted my pkants 2 wks ago

I do it by weght of the pot full of water indoors, Flood em to figure out the max wieght, let em let em dry abit an get kinda empty feeling befor watering.

the more light the better,as long as the temps dont get to high.
 
Plants love light the more the merrier you may need more IMO. I got a moisture meter from home depot for 5 bucks so I can always let them get the same amount of dry before every watering. It really helped me when I first started and now I can just tell by the weight of the pot it just takes practice but gauges definaely helped me.

yeah i got a moisture meter and its always sayings its dry. and the hps always makkes the soil dry really fast should i water everytime the soild gets dry then

Watering too often will bring a multitude of problems...including bugs, mold, root rot, and overall poor plant heatlh. It's important to spread your watering cycle apart to prevent these things.
