Quick question aobut transplanting

I'm growing kali mist in soil 400w hps i'm about to start the 4th week of flowering, I wanted to transplant one of my plants to a larger pot to give it more room to grow since one of them turned out to be short but with a LOT of bud branches. I would love to let this plant become a monster

Is it ok to transplant this late into flowering? I wouldn't think its a big deal just want to make sure.

i think no matter how far along the plant is - transplanting will shock the plant, but i dont think it harm it too much

You in flower ya plant wont get any bigger as you're in the 4th week of flower. And trans planting will shock it.

I dont think a little bit of shock is a big deal last time I transplanted them the plants didn't even seem to mind just tossed a bit of super thrive in there. so you dont think giving the roots more room to grow will benefit the plant at all?

I think that as long as you maintain the rootball there will be no shock. However, if it's really late into flowering, how much benefit do you think you'll gain? I'm a little incredulous as to it being of any benefit since flowering is (usually?) the plant's death throes. It's like medicating an octopus that's just spawned, it will die and that's why it looks so fucked up.

Ok, so for me the question is, Do you think you really will gain what you hope to by transplanting? From everything I've read, you won't really see much in the way of root or vegetative growth once they get to a certain point in flowering.

What about if you do a different form of transplanting? I saw in the GrowFAQs where a guy cut out the bottom of the pot, set that on top of a larger pot and the plants' roots grew into the next pot. It's like a transplant without actually transplanting.

i agree i dont think you will gain much or anthing ..this late i dont think she will be interest in growing roots now...but maybe she does want to grow roots,so she grows roots and no bud growth than it will take longer to bud with same weight...just put in your exprerance bucky and trans to bigger pot in veg..i transrlant once

interesting...i could do that. My main goal is to get the buds as fat and long as possible cause this could be a monster yielder since it has prob twice as many bud sites than the others...truly wish i had cloned this particular plant.

Good advice I might just have to chalk this down as experience. The only reason i didn't use larger pots earlier is cause I didn't want them to get too tall but now i realize this one is a shorty and I have extra room. Next time I will pick one during Veg and turn it into a monster.

Anyway I was just seeing if it was worth it i think the general consensus is that it won't help at all. Thanks everyone.
