i have an 8 day old bagseed with only 6 leaves on it.. i'm new to growing so is it normal for plants to smell like straight skunk at that young of an age? i mean, i smoke a pack of cigs a day and can still smell the shit when i put my nose anywhere around it.

i know its not just because i'm high...:joint:

also, do male plants give off different odors than females? or are they identical?

LOL

This is a really good question. I would think that the plants wouldn't be smelling yet, unless you have super pot that you're growing.

I mean, the THC isn't building up in the pot for a while, right? Unless there are other chemicals that are responsible for the smell. I'm no chemist.

I say be happy with this MJ though since it if it's already smelling, I can't imagine what it's going to do when it's ready to be harvested.

Yowsaaaaa:peace:

its odd as shit tho man. stinks one day and the next i cant smell anything. after i posted above, it didnt stink for another 3 days untill today. maybe its just me. maybe its dank who knows i'll let u guys know when she's ready

they give off the skunk odor when they are stressed it's how they protect themselves from things, if you think I'm nuts slap one and see what it does (think animal walking over it)

So, my hubby read this post, not seeing the rest of the thread and only managed to get 'nuts slap' out of it... then, upon further evaluation decided you MUST be speaking about slapping a skunk in the face with your own nuts... yeah... :eyesmoke:

That's a good one

nothing seems to be wrong with it as far as i can tell. the only thing that gets me is when the lights go out, it droops untill they come back on and are fine all day. seems like its not a concern after all. but dont get me wrong i love the skunk smell

do u have a fan directly pointed at them? or one that is causing them to move around alot? This could cause that smell too. Mine just started doing it today so i raised my fan still dunno if that was the problem.

naw bro i keep it outside all day. its been pretty windy though im surprised its still stable.

i turn the ceiling fan on at night to circulate
