quick question

I've got my white widow growing outdoors been about 2 and a bit weeks now and its already starting its next sets of leaves...just a quick question though..

ive seen in alot of pictures that many of you guys' plants have several different branches out from the main stem, i was wondering if this happens just naturally as the plant is growing or you have clipped it to make the step split into two? If the latter then can someone give me a tip on how to do this without killing my plant!

thanks

Yah its calld topping man.
you chop off the new growth completely off. with make you have 2 new main stems. and if you do it right you could have 4 main colas.
just find the 4th set of leaves and chopp there. right even with the leafs. hope i helpd.

If they are healthy and in the right size container they will produce secondary branches. Here is one that I had to tie the main cola down this is like the first day I tied it down.:

and does topping stunt the growth in any way? How many weeks after i planted the seeds should i be topping to ensure it doesnt go and die on me??

topping will stunt the plants growth for a few days while it heals, but it will result in stronger side-branches. Most growers wait about 2 weeks before topping then they cut between the 4th and 5th nodes. I'm not a big fan of topping though, you can get just as many main colas with a little LST training.

haha im so newbie, whats LST training? Which method is mainly prefered? Or can you do both in conjunction with one another?

I top & lst aswell as super crop my plant I dunno if its over kill but just wanna get the best I can from it aswell it's my experimental faze but so far it all looking great bushy as heck and not 1 leave fading in color or yellowing I recommend all the above
