i've finally quit after being a habitual smoker on n off, predominantly on, for about the last 6-7 years (i'm 18--been smoking since 6th grade) and i can tell you, i quit 2 weeks ago, and i feel leaps and bounds better, you don't even know. i finally quit because smoking just made me constantly feel like shit. of course i always smoke newports, and before then the turkish blends that camel use to make (raspberry, oj screwdrivers, etc--god what awesome cigarettes!!) but i really feel a difference. marijuana is so much better on your lungs, the thc counteracts and fights the tar and carbon when the nugs are burnt--which is why people who smoke weed don't get lung cancer--the cancer comes from whatever it is they are smoking it out of..but to answer your question..you just 'quit' cigs. no waning off them, it doesn't work. i found going cold turkey is the best. you just wake up one morning and are like fuck it..and you do it. if you really want motivation to stop smoking cigs, i found getting into shape is the best way..work out for an hr a day at ur local 24 hr fitness or other gym, it'll make u want to quit cigs, cuz u start to release seratonin and melatonin in ur brain and you're going to want to work out more and more..get w/ a personal trainer and get a good workout regimen going..u won't even think about smokes anymore..only time i think about them is when i'm bored with nothing to do~

I quit after smoking a pack a day for five years. I tried to quit around 5 times, it's tough but stick with it man. Try to minimize stress and the things that trigger your cravings. Weed helps for sure, I smoked about twice as much while quitting. After a week or so the cravings slowly go away. There absolutely a benefit of quitting smoking. You can feel the difference in your lungs and just feel healthier all around.

Well just think.....Now you'll get all the real effects of marijuana and how marijuana really burns u out more than u think, but get use to it cuz if your planning on quitting thats it for your little cigarette high...not to be a prick or anything though. Your a true stoner now :blsmoke:

I quit about 5 months ago and I can breath again! I don't have all the mucus drainage either. Its worth it I feel much better! For some reason smoking weed does not seem to affect me at all but cigs cause me to gag on mucus and shit in morning.
