Raid in Troy

It sounds to me that the person in question was a legit card holder but they were using it as a reason to think they could over do it. If they had no caregiver card or the right amount of patients to make all the plants they had legal, they were breaking the law. 14 were growing and 30 were hanging? Plus 60 plus clones? I mean geez they were way out of the realm of legality if that's the case. Cases like this are gonna take away our rights. The politicians will start to regulate more and more until we lose our meds again! Just do it the right way and don't break the law!

Smoke up my friends...

It's assholes like this piece of garbage that are going to ruin it for the rest of us doing things within the legal guidelines.

ditto, he was a patient who could grow only 12 plants.....he had 14 going and 79 seedlings. The law allows for plenty but we are always going to have people who are going to abuse the system :/

That's why patients and caregivers alike should do plenty of research before starting this. If anyone is interested about educational classes which include a full explanation of the 26 page law, please check out my sig. Thanks.

This wasn't a patient. He was a dealer, pure and simple.

Oh yes, he had a card... but he was a scumbag looking to take advantage of the law regardless of the possible repercussions to others that are legitimate patients.

I hope they send him up for dealing and everything else they can come up with.

"...Officers, acting on a tip, obtained a search warrant..."

Keep your mouth shut, your head down and just sit on your porch and smile with your knowledge and your pocket full of your homegrown.

Start bragging, bringing in buddies or supplying all your "friends" and eventually something is going to happen somewhere and your "friend" will turn on you to save his own ass.

because communities are more aware that there is going to be abuses and may hault growing and dispensing all together in their municipalities. Every fuckup is a set back for the ones trying to do right by the laws as they were written as poor as that may be.

How is he going to ruin it for everyone else? I fail to see how his actions should affect mm in the slightest.

You can't fix stupid! From what I assume it takes to get recommendation to use as medicine, to grow, or grow for others why mess around?
That is the same as someone getting a drivers license and then driving drunk and speeding. Yea, you had a license but ones ignorance and/or stupidity done got your ass busted. This is too new to be trying to sneak around the laws under the disguise of being legit.
Too many people do this crap long enough, things will go back to the old laws pretty damn quick.

But his actions are illegal regardless. How should his fuck up affect MM? If you got busted with 5,000 Oxycontin would they outlaw oxy more than it is now?

It seems like there should be some law protecting patients rights too to stop cities from banning things that are approved at the state level.

All I can say is let me grow 12 plants legally and I will leave the doors open for you to inspect anytime and I bet you wont find 79 clones.

greed gets the best of the weak. Know your limits and be thankful for what you have. The law is very clear!

Using the same argument the dispensaries are using, he could say he was growing for them, other patients, other CGs, etc. Section 8 gives no limit on plant count. That's just the thing - the wording of the law is terrible.

But I agree, they guy was obviously breaking the law.
