If killing people was the objective of that war, then you are probably right. Fact of the matter is, you guys got suckered into that conflict and couldn't find a way out without saving face, and a lot of your young people died for it. The French got it right when they said it wasn't worth it anymore and got the fuck out.

I used to know a crazy but funny old farmer guy who did the same thing. Actually worked. He also used to catch squirrels and paint them bright construction cone orange. You'd be hanging out and drinking a beer then see an orange squirrel zip through the tree.
