This one is a bit long, but if you have any interest in Nuclear Reactors this one kind of blew my mind.
Theory on cooling reactors with molten salt rather than water. Also using thorium as an alternative source for heat generation in the reactor. Also includes future of LFTR reactors in space.

It had a great premise and I like all three of the main actors, but the writing was completely linear and predictable. The setting was depressing, "For Sale", "Foreclosure", "Out of Business" signs plastered throughout the whole movie constantly reminding you this place is shitty and everyone's poor. Way too slow, it didn't get going until 45 minutes in and even then the action wasn't anything very memorable. A few bank robberies and a lot of talking.
Good idea, very poorly executed with an anticlimactic ending you can see coming a mile away

I just watched The Witch. Very good horror flick, and I'm not really into those. This is one to watch: the acting (especially from the children, outstanding!), cinematography, and incidental music is top notch. It isn't really gory, but let's your mind fuck itself with it's minimalist style. I'm sure I'll watch it again...

Also, just watched X-men Armageddon. I forgot it came out months ago. Great super hero flick, the best in the series so far imo. The acting and depth of the characters is far superior to the shallow Avengers movies, it really helps draw you in to the stories (especially the Magneto and Jean Gray actors). I like how the movie reveals the origin of each character we know and love. Bryan Singer is doing a great job on these, keep 'em coming...

I rate it 6/10. It had a cool twist of an ending. Not much for action or excitment. More of a murder mystery. I'd say it was worth a watch. I don't remember seeing the ambien walrus in it at all which I was hoping for.
Synopsis:Emily Taylor, despite being reunited with her husband from prison, becomes severely depressed with emotional episodes and suicide attempts. Her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, after conferring with her previous doctor, eventually prescribes an experimental new medication called Ablixa. The plot thickens when the side effects of the drug lead to Emily killing her husband in a "sleepwalking" state. With Emily plea-bargained into mental hospital confinement and Dr. Banks' practice crumbling around him, the case seems closed. However, Dr. Banks cannot accept full responsibility and investigates to clear his name. What follows is a dark quest that threatens to tear what's left of his life apart even as he discovers the diabolical truth of this tragedy.

Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Awesome movie! 4.5/5
The acting in this movie was fantastic all around! Andrew Garfield's performance might win him an oscar next year, Vince Vaughn stood out and stole the show, almost every scene he was in was laugh out loud funny or respectfully understanding as the Drill Sergeant training Desmond Doss to fight in WW2. Teresa Palmer also gives a great performance, I thought she was amazing at expressing emotion, Hugo Weaving tops the cast off with Sam Worthington who both give stand up performances as Doss' alcoholic WW1 veteran father who condemns his decision to enlist and as Doss' company commander who initially doesn't accept his conscientious objector beliefs, but is later shown first hand his bravery and heroism in action. Luke Bracey gives another great performance as Smitty, the character development and relationship over the course of the first hour or so of the movie between him and Doss is awesome. I've never gone from hating a character so much to loving one so much during watching a movie. Never seen character development take place so fast and so convincingly.
The only gripe I had about the movie was that the action scenes and the effects didn't look 100% up to standards. But that's truly minor. There's a lot of gore, but I think they did a great job of showing the brutality of war without being too in your face about it.
It was interesting as an atheist to see an example of the goodness some people's belief in God can actually generate

Saw this Friday and loved it as well, Thought Gibson handled the story well also. Just curious: why did you hate Dos's character at first? I recently watched a movie starring Daniel Radcliff from the Harry Potter series. The title of the movie was Imperium.
He was an FBI agent trying to infiltrate a white supremacist group! But only being 5'4" it was hard to take him seriously .
There was one scene in the movie where he was driving a Ford truck he couldn't even see over the steering wheel.....maybe if they remake the wizard of oz he can get a part as a munchkin !
