Re-using Iso When making Oil?? "Distiled oil"

So Im making some oil the other day, Using 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Im boiling it down when it hit me....Why am I standing here with a gas mask on letting all that beautiful Alcohol I just paid for evaporate up and away out the exhaust...

Why couldnt I simply re-use that alcohol?!??!!?!

Its a pretty simple concept....Alcohol boils at a really low temperature, As many of you know, thats how they purify alcohol, by boiling it... But if your purifying alcohol its actually the FUMES that you want. Its the FUMES that are the pure 99% alcohol.

Is there any downside to using a simple distillation set up to make oil, and save pretty much all of that alcohol you would normally just let evaporate???

I dunno, Im pretty baked..(It was some good oil...AHAH) But am I missing anything here? I can re use the alcohol....And you dont have all those volatile fumes just floating around you when your cooking down the oil.


I would Love to hear some second opinions on this...Has anyone tried this? Am I going to blow myself up if I did try it??

umm probably would work i would think in that case though i would use everclear you would increase the proof and its drinkable.

I'd imagine so long as nothing is under pressure or gets too hot that should work.
I'm just speculating, but in theory this works. I prefer a Butane honey oil myself, but by all means keep us informed if you try this.

yeah i make bho as well its quick and easy my favorite extract method. he could maybe with pure everclear make a tincture

Hmm.. Yeah Im not too worried about pressure and heat...thats a standard issue in any distillation set up. Ive done a bit more research and so far I can't find any downside.

I love BHO too, but I think BHO methods are pretty much as good as they can get for now. Im just looking at new ideas for using liquid solvents to make oil.


Well its definitely something Im going to look into further. But Im busy as hell lately working on the mortgage and the 100 other things I gotta do so it may be couple months before Im posting any useful results.

I could literally run the hose right back into the barrel of ISO I just used to make the oil...
