Re-Vegging after Harvest? Any Experience?

I have grown the last of my feminized Northern Lights/Skunk from G-13 seeds through Attitude seed bank. Awesome smoke! I am trying to re-veg the strain so I don't have to buy more. I don't have the room to grow a mother plant as I can only grow 2 plants at a time and don't have the room to grow in both 24/00 and 12/12. So far from the research I've done, it is possible to do this. I am into the 12th day with 24/00 lighting trying to get them growing in veg stage. I took the tops from the lower branches with very small buds on them and I left a couple of leaf nodes to grow from. At this point, the center of the buds are nice and green, but outer leaves have turned a light green. They have roots growing already, but they still seem to be in flower stage. I don't see any new leaf growth yet. I will post a pic or 2 in a day or 2 so you can see them. How long will this process take? Any input for me? Thanks in advance.

I'm curious to hear your results...I've heard that it is possible to harvest two times off of a plant, but any more than that is a waste of effort, as the yeild is minimal, and you can't expect the second harvest to be as large as the first. Keep us posted.

You should have re-vegged the main plant, and taken clones once it had been done. Would have been much easier. But wat u r doing will also work. U r looking at about 6 weeks work ahead of u. Pump them with Nitrogen, that should help out a bit.
Peace :joint:

I've seen clones - taken in flower - take as many as 6 weeks to put out new growth. First the bud sites die - and this causes lots of new branching to occur, when the plant goes bag into veg.

I'd say the success rate is around 50%, but the big drawback is that the amount of stress a revenged mother, or clones, goes through in the process, causes genetic degradation, especially if you make a habit of re-vegging....

It's best to take clones from clones from clones, in veg, so that you're making a genetic copy of a healthy plant, rather than one that's stressed.

Genetic degradation can result in decreased yield, potency, etc. :peace:

I haven't flowered and revegged yet, but will try it soon. But I have heard about people keeping the same plant for 6 years bringing it in and out of the house, not standard practice I'm sure.

reveg can preserve a keeper femme - here's my experience - popped clone off a revegged nl#5

Great input folks, thanks. And your grow journal is awesome "growone". Here is part of the research I found that may also answer some questions. The only part I couldn't find was the time it takes to re-veg. Your answers of 6 weeks seems to be what I was looking for. Next time, I will try starting the cuttings in a separate "grow box" with a couple cfl's so I can have them ready to go after I harvest (fingers crossed). This link is good reading for those who want to try re-vegging too.
