Hi,

I have 3 tents, 4 plants in each..

I am thinking of putting the far right tent in picture in bloom, by switching to 12/12

I No any litte bit of light will potentially mess them up so will not be opening the zip at all..

But am thinkin when lights are off, it go's obvisouly cooler, but because my other tents next to them will be on, the room heats up quite a bit??

Will 12/12 plants be ok with that??

All plants look pretty much the same, in all tents, the taller ones I have put in the far right tent, ready for 12/12

I have been using ionic grow, from the start and its 4 weeks in tomora, got ionic bloom for this tent..

An am thinking of using canna A & B for the other 2 tents, starting next week, just to see the difference if any..

By looking at them, are they ok to go into bloom?? Still look thin to me, but its been 4 weeks??

An is heat from other tents goin to mess up 12/12 plants??

any info is a help, thanks

i enter my flower room all the time when the lights off and light enters the room when i open the door. been doing this every grow and not one hurmi. now if it is bright light that is shining directly on your plant for a period of time, that's when your going to have problems with hurmies.

My basement lights are all green light... So i can get in my flower room at night no problem... but i use try not to use them much at night...

So maybe you can just change your room lights for green lights.

Slight interuptions are not that big of a deal - it'll be fine. I've done it numerous times in the past and everytime, results were amazing, no sign of stress.

One question to you though... why have such an awesome setup with all that space available for growing and only grow 12 plants in 3 tents?! I have one tent and am looking to grow 24 plants hydro (4.67' x 4.67' x 6.5')? It seems like you are missing out on a lot of potential yeild. Is your concern with having too many plants in your location?

I got started by someone whos grown for a while (he says, ha) hes a friend of a friend.. lol.. Anyway, he says there is not enough space for more than 4, am thinkin they grow half a metre wide say, so 4 fits, anymore an they wont have enough room to grow??

Is this just bullshit?? ha

I did not even pick any equipment, soil, etc.. Dont no really anythin about hydro, I will start reading up on it..

Am thinkin, wat bout throwin 2 more in each to give me a empty tent, which I will start 6 more..

You think 6 pots in each is fine??

Thanks

Definately, get rid of that extra tent if you only have 4 plants in each one! My god. Some people go as nuts as 2 plants / sq ft. You usually end up with too much stem unless you know what you are doing with that and have everything really planned out and timed properly. But 1 plant / sq foot is certainly a good starting point for Hydro and I'd say 1 plant / 2 sq ft is a good start for soil. So if your total tent space is 4 x 4 = 16 sq ft / 2 = 8 plants. I'd recommend that you research Hydroponic bubbler units. You can buy them cheap on ebay if you don't know much about Hydroponics. I bought my first few units on ebay (cheaply!) and then saw how they were made and made the rest myself. I think the reservoir/drip systems are a waste. The bubbler units are cheap and every bit as effective without a need for a reservoir. Next buy the $29.99 technaflora nutrients :

^ As you can see it has everything. Next buy a cheap ppm meter on ebay for $15 (Parts-per-million). This way you'll be able to know how strong your water is and when your plants use up the nutes, you'll know when to add.

I was a horrible soil grower, but hydroponics is 100% idiot proof. With soil I never knew if I had enough nutrients or too many - I always had sick looking plants... it was horrible. And Hydroponics ends up being cheaper than soil because you don't have to keep buying soil and you don't have to waste as much nutrients because with hydro it just stays in the water and doesn't go anywhere!

Plants will make due with whatever space you give them. The thinking behind crapping plants in a smaller space is that a single big plant (1) takes a longer time to grow and (2) can only produce so much bud. Smaller plants grow faster and though the individual plants yield will be less, the total yield will easily be double or higher! I started out growing how you are... and I'd get like 3 oz per plant with a huge soil plant. When I switched to hydroponic on the same strain growing 3x more in the same space I'd get 2oz per plant with 3x as many plants!

The nice thing about switching from a newbie soil grower to a newbie hydro grower, was that with using the bubbler hydroponic units (self made storage tubs with net pots in the pot and a fish tank pump in the bottom), I grew 6 plants of a smaller strain in a single 1.16'x1.67' tub and because the plant roots all collected in a the tub, the roots never experienced a stunting that happens with all soil plants, and I witnessed the plants growing huge until there was literally a Sea of leaves and bud sites everywhere!

Good luck!
