brother just a quick question regarding recharge in the res.... when you add it, you top feed, yes? also, how much recharge per gallon of water do you add??? lets say you have a 5 gallon res, would you add an entire gallon of the stuff? or maybe about, lets say, 5oz of recharge to the gallon? i know recharge is pretty serious stuff and i dont want a mess of form in my closet. i guess my question is, how much recharge would you add per gallon without causing a mess of form out the top of my res.
Im guessing you use a bubbler? If so I do too, My res in the cloner is 10 gallons, I usually can put 1 tablespoon of recharge in and get little foam, you want some foam. always top feed, or at least pour it down the stalk/roots to inoculate them. When I soil feed I use 1-2 tablespoons per 5 gallons. it says 1/2 teaspoon per gallon as base but my girls drink like crazy so I double it up, which is fine.

INTERESTING, im assuming the more recharge the more form it will create so i just need to find what works for me. im going to give 5oz per gallon and see what happens... thanks for the advice homie

Even with using super soil my girls drink me out of my wallet, that space dawg consumes 5 gallons of water every other day. With the super soil i dont have to use as much nutes but stilll have to use them regularly. I use nothing but general organics and hi-brix for molasses.
is the molasses in recharge enough? or do you suggest adding more? i heard the whole foods brand molasses is the way to go.

5oz might be kinda high, ive tried adding more molasses but it just sends my salts sky high the bacteria can only eat so much then it just starts building up, I dont clean my res anymore either, its kinda nice, lol. the bacteria have colonized my entire cloner, keeps all the bad bacteria out and helps with rooting. I cycle 5 fresh gallons of water in once a week, I dont change it all out anymore, when I cycle new water in I add a new tablespoon of recharge, the bacteria die after a while, so giving them fresh food and water will speed things up and keep it flowing. if it stops foaming they are almost dead.

you say 5oz is too much? i was thinking of mixing one tablespoon in a gallon jug, shake it around and only top feeding 5oz.... maybe 3oz? and keeping the rest of the mix in a cold place like my fridge. i wont keep the mix longer than a week... ive noticed my plant drinks up almost the whole 5gals in about 3 or 4 days so i would be top feeding recharge about 2 or 3 times a week so that should hold me down. this stuff is tricky man.

Scotty and the Dude are great! Totally friendly and willing to share very helpful knowledge. I'm still waiting on my Recharge to get here :( If you guy love growing, listen to The Dude Grows Show!!! Support Them!!!

As far as the dose, Scotty and the Cap'n suggest 1 tsp per gallon for a mix, and to top feed about 8 oz per plant.

Remember me brother? Well I did it! I grew a monster man... 7.5 ft tall, harvest was 5oz under a 400w hps. I could have gotten more yield if I had lollipopped it earlier. Check out the pics man
Looks good man, Only suggestion I have, is if you want to maximize yield. you should be getting almost a pound out of a single 400 watt light. You need to look into LST (low stress training) getting your girls into a big ass bush while in veg before you flower. Get a nice larg wide flat canopy. that way you have 80% of the plant using 100% light, you dont have a bunch of dark spots.

Here is one of mine, 4.5 feet wide canopy and flat. Thats the trick.

I usually do lst, I just wanted to keep the main steam intact just for this run... I usually top the main steam then split it in half with a scrog but I decided to do no training no super crop no nothing just natural just to test it... I had no clue how to tie her down until it was too late. I thought of a tomato cage but it was too late at the time

Nice scrog dude... sick
Made it out of old pallets, ive made a bunch of helpful grow equipment with old pallets. About to make a new computer desk lol. I also recommend a veg time of about 3 months, my latest one I showed first was only about 2, Im running behind on plants so I had to throw some in early, but 3 months is a good time. dont top until you have about a foot worth of stem (again I didnt lol I was rushing) so the bush isnt in the way of watering. look for 8-16 tops. You should be seeing close to a pound off one big girl. that girl under scrog was an oz over a pound. If your girl is getting too tall or growing past the light dont be afraid to snap the top over, she will fix herself, just gently bend it over but dont break it, she will stop growing vertically and focus healing and then the buds on the side will begin.

Yeah Recharge is some really great stuff. I use it on all my plants (growing auto's right now in coco/perlite mix) indoor and out. I even use it in my veggie garden. It really does help the plants get the best out of the medium. I used to use Roots Organic Oregonism XL but after trying the Recharge and seeing the results I'm sold. Also Scotty is a great guy and the customer service is top notch. Great product and great company. I look forward to using this products for years to come.
