Really confused about carbon scrubbers

This question will annoy some of you, cause I'll bet my answer is somewhere here. But honestly Ive searched and searched and I cannot find a clear answer to this.

I want to grow 2 afghan plants in a 700 sq ft, 1 bedroom apartment. For the 3-4 months I am growing, the plants will be in a grow closet in my bedroom (my bed will be in the main living area for now).

I've read a fair amount about carbon scrubbers, but every damn setup ive seen has the duct running up to the ceiling. I cannot cut holes in any walls or parts of the ceiling, cant leave any windows open, etc (I have no access to the outside to vent the air). Everywhere Ive read, ppl say "well thats okay you dont have to vent outside you can vent it into another room". How does that work? where does the duct go? do need a duct, or just a filter? my closet is designed to be air tight (opened a couple times a day).

In other words, what would a carbon scrubber system look like if a person wants to grow in an apartment tha has no access to the outside (ventilation-wise)?

I just find that if this system requires a massive hole in the ceiling/wall, its really too limited to be of any value to many apartment growers. Any help would be appreciated!

go too foothill filters ebay store, they have a "stand alone" model i just bought it it has a fan attached directly to the scrubber with a 12v adapter and you put it wherever you want no piping!

Just vent it into the bedroom, you don't need to vent it outside. As long as heat isn't an issue, the smell disappears after passing through the carbon filter and you're fine. I used a pc fan to feed a DIY carbon scrubber and it worked great, I just mounted it right on the roof of my grow cab and it exhausted back into the room. If you're using a closet I guess I don't really know how you're going make an exhaust hole without cutting one near the top of the door. If you end up doing that just mount a DIY scrubber right on the hole, or duct it into the scrubber which would be right outside the closet.

The pics didn't link

lets try this

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A couple people have asked about air handling.

I did this DIY Carbon Filter a while back.

That the filter and main blower. I NEVER turn it off! I live in a large city apartmet complex. 100% no smell going on 1 year. Yes, I change the filter before it's used up.

Here is a pic from last summer (I just learned to clone)

see were iI vent to out side.

Both plants are cloned from plant the same mother on the same day. The one on the left after rooting went under an 18/6 veg. The one on the right after rooting went on a 12/12 flower cycle.

this next pic is the plant all my type 3 seeds came from. (Red Cups). Also the biggest plant I ever grew. 49.5" and 3/4 pound dry (very seedy as it was a seed crop and I have a shit house of seed from here.)

oh and this pic isn't 1/2 way thru her flower.

You can see the AC inlet to the room. Also on both sides of the door are two air inlets for the grow box.

What I've done is attach a 4" dry hose to 50% of the air inlet by the AC vent.

The hose runs up to the 430 watt ballast. A 12 volt computer fan suck air thru the hose and blows on some louvers. The cold air blows thru the ballast. The ballast is always cool to the touch. The fan only runs when the lights are on.

This pic was take awhile ago before the Mylar. You can see the sound proof stuff (blue). But light can pass thru some. There is a better shot of the ballast set up.

Next is the coffee csn csrbon filter. It's attached to the sucktion side of the blower.

The outlet hose goes thru the roof and down the side.

It exhausts out the window.

fan to blow air under the light.

This is the grow box (flash on) .

This is the grow box (flash Off) .

May be this can help.
