RED Wigglers in my grow room

Alright everyone I've done some research and read that Red Wigglers are great for your plant and keep the soil aerated. So I went to the white elephant and purchased 5 cartons of them each carton with around 10 or more worms I put 3-5 worms per plant and now I'm playing the waiting game :hump: Was this a good idea? BTW I'm using a Promix/SS mix:peace:

I always find worms in my root balls of any plant :P

When I use vermicompost, i try to get most of the worms out, but sometimes there are a few escapees. Sometimes it's simply eggs from the compost which hatch in the soil blend.

They will till your soil, poop little pellets of VERY bio-active compost and eat potentially pathogen-causing waste. Just don't overdo it with the worms, too much of a good thing can throw the microbiological balance off.

Well I just transplanted the girls all 18 of em into the SS mix and I seen the little wiggler's moving around everywhere :) which I was happy to see. The worms will Aerate the soil and eat any root rot that may occur during the grow(although I'm happy to report that during the transplant there were no sign's of any) Just happy plants with tons of roots! Just got to remember to keep the soil a little moist or our little friends will die, I will remember to keep all of you informed on the progress of the plants, Also I do have a little grow journal I started although I like to wait for a big update before I post new things just check in every once in a while :) One last thing if you do what I'm doing make sure you don't clean your plants fallen/dead leaf's out of the pot the worms will eat them and convert it into very good worm castings
