Reducing odor while using environmental controllers?

Alright so recently I started using temperature and humidity controllers to maintain a better VPD and have the healthiest plants possible. My main concern that I've noticed is that while the controllers do a fantastic job of maintaining the set points, I am noticing that at night once the temps come down the controller never really has to kick on the exhaust. Because of this I have started noticing a subtle, but definitely noticeable smell leaking from the grow room while the fans are off.

I am wondering how those using controllers manage to maintain temps without sacrificing odor control? Do I now need to set up a second carbon filter outside of my tents to filter the surrounding air at night when the fans go off?

Try setting your night time temp to lower on the controller. I try and keep it close to 10 degrees less than day temp. Keeps mold away. Many controllers have a night-on plug socket. Add a small heater. Adjust the temp up till the fan runs enough to eliminate the smell. Plants do better when day/night temps are close.
