2-0 SHUTOUT!!!!!!!! DETROIT REDWINGS!!!! 3-2 in the series. now to finish up the series back in Chicago. i tell you one thing, the crowd at a Wings game is very vocal and loud. if you watch away games, the opponent crowd is not even half as loud and supportive as the Wings home crowd is. most of the time at away games you can still hear "lets go redwings"!!

awesome!

This series is over, I guess toews can suck all post season n Howard can stay hot.
this team struggle in playoff since bufligen left..nobody to block goalie. Keep shooting directly at Howard's chest n forget bout a corner shot dummies.

Series is far from over, but we are up 3 - 1 that helps. As far as Boston goes dont worry we come to the Eastern Confrence next year and will be slapping the B's around.

I think their regular season competition was just to easy to prepare for the post season grind. A fate the RedWings lived through more than once in the 90's.

It sure seems like through the years after the Red Wings played about 45 to 55 regular season games they start playing there best hockey. Guess what we are at that point now. And 13 It would be the Frosting on the Buds if we took that Campbell Trophy our last season in the Western Conference.:clap::weed:

tomorrow is Chicago's last game of the season and post season (if you want to be technical). :)

lets see how bad their crowd will be. if you ever notice any Detroit away game, you hear the crowd chanting red wings, red wings, red wings...you suck. thats classy right there. NEVER in the 10+ yrs of me watching a redwings game (i used to live in Fla and never hear of hockey, lol) have i ever heard our crowd chanting anything derrogatory(sp) twords the opposing team. against the ref's, yes, but not the other team.

I don't know a ton about hockey, I just don't see how the hawks beat wings 9 straight then get worked the last 3..wat changed?

Being the favorite's in the NHL playoffs is a tough spot to be in. The Wings have won the Presidents Trophy many times and then been eliminated by a lower seed in the playoffs. The LA Kings were an 8 seed last year and won it all. There is less pressure if you're the under-dog. The Black Hawks have been sipping on their own koolaid. This series is not over though. The Black Hawks have a great team, and the Wings would be well advised to step on their necks tonight and not allow them to get any mojo going ....

The playoffs are an entirely different game and perspective for the players and teams. It's a real tough cookie to crack even in hindsight :bigjoint:

Detroit's goalie got hot(bad news for the rest of the NHL b/c when that happens teams can easily ride it to a cup) , and the Hawks coaching staff isn't all that good...which has created favorable match-ups 4/the Red Wings.

Hawks are putting together a super line tonight.
Wings are going to play 3 goalies for their shifts.
:-P

A super line?
The notion drips of desperation - I thought they would be more confident than this.
Pittsburgh? Not Crosby again. Please. Arrrgh.

Crosby, the epic definition of a WHINER!!!!!!! notice it spells WHINER and not winner. :)

and Howard is on his game for sure. has been for quite a few games now. actually i recant "quite a few", many, many games now he's been on fire.
