Reflector question?

So as I am gearing up to continue and improve my growing techniques, I have came to a stall while trying to purchase a new HPS/MH conversion light.

I would like to keep my price range on the matter under 500 USD, I have found some nice lights on Ebay, however the reflectors look a little under sized; so my question to all the "helpers" out there is how big should my reflector be, all help is welcome. BTW I want to buy a 1000watt HPS/MH, thank you

not sure on how big you want but aircooled is always nice.. those umbrella jawns seem cool too

You can add reflection to your walls. but your package lights w/reflectors are to prevent the light from going UP

Thanks, the reflectors that were being packaged with the lights I was looking at were only six inches in length, I just thought a bigger reflector would help evenly let the light out. IDK a lot about reflectors, so maybe it isnt even an issue.

you can get them on ebay for like 200 bucks
