Reflector Shield doesnt fit..

ok...now that i have my lights and pots and everything else ready to go... i just realized that the reflector shield doesnt fit entirely into my grow room :/....anything i can substitute for it??

Or is it ok that my reflector is kinda tilted...i don't want hot spots or uneven light distribution..

A picture would do wonders man.

ok so i didnt really wanna take a picture of the washroom shower area... so i drew how it would look like from eagles view...



so the grey is the reflector....and the black is the border of how much room is there...
so the reflector shield is very angled and squished when trying to fit it inside
anything i can do??

No seriously is it made out of aluminium etc that you could cut??

make a few measurements and be certain that they are correct then cut the same off each side keeping it symetrical until it fits.

If you cant cut it then you're screwed lol.

well the diagram isnt the exact measurements..but it gives you the idea...

noo....its very hard to cut...

nothin i can replace it with?? any material i can shape myself??

link me to an online store with your reflector for sale so i can see it then i may be able to advise you.

this wasn't purchased online...actually i don't know where this was even purchased from. it originally belonged to my friends and he hand-me-downs, 30 sets of these..

but heres a picture of it...i compared it to a 5 doller bill cuz thats all i had laying around.

just looks like some thin metal.

could you not stencil an out line 2inches in all the way round and cut it off?


personally i would just buy a ne reflector that fits.

pair of tin snips will cost $10-15, or buy a new hood

hmm ill try bending the reflecter around until its a fitting circle, if not...ill use tin snips!
