Renwal time....

I'm at my year, and expiration date as of May 7th, what is the earliest I can get to a doc, and submit to the state? Does the state just kind of rubber stamp it again, or do they tend to look a little closer this time around?

My sincerest apologies if this thread already exists...

I'd just try and get there ASAP. They like to get the money 30 days in advance. I lapsed last year and it took em close to 90 days to get me my card. Another person who's was new to the process got theirs in less than 30. We went and sent on the exact same date one right after the other.

When I sent mine thru I got a reply 5 weeks later that there was something missing, that I then had to resend, and then got it 3 weeks later. BTW, the thing that was 'missin' was sent, they lost it. Some people suggest that the folks who handle this paperwork are deliberately slowing things down, but I think that they are just typical government employees, so be prepared for mistakes.:dunce:
