I found a decent way to taste test, didn't make it harsh, either. You'll have to hang dry for four or five days first - (you could try it with fresh cut - might work, I haven't tried) - but after that point, take a small bud, cut it into small pieces. Place on a saucer, put the saucer on the hotplate for your coffee pot. Gently turn bud pieces approx. every five minutes until dry. Depending on the size and moisture level, it takes anywhere from ten minutes to half an hour.:peace:

anywhere with lots of air flow will dry them quick. 1 i found that was fast though is i stuck some small bottom buds inside my computer overnight the next day it was dry enough to bowl smoke. my computer does have decent airflow though intake+exhaust fans

for drying most of the plant, the best way i know of is hang the large colas, and air dry the rest of it on screens with a fan under it pushin air through it with a dehum or dry air crystals in one of those containers by the fan in with the setup so it will absorb the moisture gettin let out by the buds, also make sure you have perfect darkness for the buds to dry in light is very bad for drying buds, after they get crispy on the outside put them in paper bags and open them every day too let fresh air in do that for awhile like 3-4 days and then put what you want to cure into jars and you can cure anywhere from a week to 6 months MAX, open teh jars every 12 hours and let fresh air in and take them out too let them breath and put them back in, after a week of this you will notice the buds harden up, thats good.
and for quick drying, put some buds on a screen with a fan goin hardcore with some heat, remove as much stalk as you can becuase stalk holds alot of moisture which keeps feeding the bud until its dry if you remove it the bud will dry much quicker, for testing use pop corn buds they will dry fast, nice colas should be cured for maximum potentcy and flavor, the longer you cure the more potent it gets because more trichromes convert to thc and other compounds which effect potentness. buttom line quality is something you cant rush, testing your bud wont give you a fair example of how it will taste after its cured but at least you could get abit of an idea and still see how the high is.

hope this helps

If you have 2 chains hanging your light with head room above it to the celing , tie a string between the chains up about a foot above the light...clip a bud no wider than you pointer finger if possible and hang it on the string above your light.... the heat will rise around the bud... wait 24 hours and there you go smokeable semi-tasty but not really ideal bud(really depends on the nutes in the plant still) ....adjust buds hight over the light so it's in the range just barely to hot to hold you hand there for awhile

acutely there's been lots of studies on the effects of microwaves and its well known that it causes bowel cancer, and genetically modifies whatever you put in it, lots of people dont want to believe it but its true, microwaves kill, so if it does that too food why dry bud in it then smoke it. theres defiently more ways too quick dry buds besides passing radiation though it lol. but eh everyone has their own opinion and thats mine.

I'm not fucking around its the same way you cook anything in the microwave use water which a microwave can easily heat and the steam heat from the water will dry the weed for you. It's really a pretty damn good drying method.

This is great stuff lol. Genetically modifies whatever you eat...hardly. A microwave esentially just takes advantage of the polarity of atoms (especially water hence the steam method) and uses electromagnetic waves to to make the atoms switch polarity back and forth. This creates a lot of internal kinetic energy which raises the temperature of the atoms and thus your food. The thing that makes microwaves suitable for this job is the fact that they are in the non-ionizing part of the electromagnetic spectrum, this means that they don't actually alter the atoms but just heat them up due to ke or movement. If however we had some x, beta, gamma, or alpha rays heating up our bud there would be cause to worry. Sorry for the science content but I got out of a physics II and Organic II test this morning and felt I might at least see if I could put it to some real world use!

Ignorance is bliss. Dont bother defending something you have no clue about. your knowledge of microwaves is false and is something a microwave company would put out trying to make a microwave look harmless which it hardly is.

Sorry too the owner for changing the subject but i have to prove this ding dong has no understanding of microwaves.

Two researchers, Blanc and Hertel, confirmed that microwave cooking significantly changes food nutrients. Hertel previously worked as a food scientist for several years with one of the major Swiss food companies. He was fired from his job for questioning procedures in processing food because they denatured it. He got together with Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Biochemistry and the University Institute for Biochemistry.
They studied the effect that microwaved food had on eight individuals, by taking blood samples immediately after eating. They found that after eating microwaved food, haemoglobin levels decreased. "These results show anaemic tendencies. The situation became even more pronounced during the second month of the study".
Who knows what results they would have found if they had studied people who ate microwaved food for a year or more?
The violent change that microwaving causes to the food molecules forms new life forms called radiolytic compounds. These are mutations that are unknown in the natural world. Ordinary cooking also causes the formation of some radiolytic compounds (which is no doubt one reason why it is better to eat plenty of raw food), but microwaving cooking causes a much greater number. This then causes deterioration in your blood and immune system.

wouldn't advise this all the time but if your desperate for a smoke, works for popcorn bits, - bed side lamp (conventional 40 to 60w bulb), glass drinks coaster on lampshade covering bulb top hole, bud on coaster turn every now and again 2 hours dry enough to smoke. Obviously time depends on bulb strength, coaster/plate thickness

Didnt read all the posts... but here is mine:)
Flush with clear water 14 days before harvest.
If you really wanna taste a certain plant quickly... roll a joint of a mildly tasting bud... and rub it against a few buds on the plant..
Check the spliff.. see the sticky crystals;)
That spliff should taste divine!!
now after you harvest let them hang on a string for 7-12 days...
Check if they are dry by trying to snap a branch.. if it snaps like a pencil jar it up, if not it has a few hours or days left to go ..
after that i like to seal my jar for at least 12 hours... seen as i let the bud get pretty damn dry i dont burp it for at least 12 hours to really get the moisture out from the center to the dryer parts of the bud....
after about 12 hours burp it for 10 minutes... and then you can already start smoking it, obviously its gonna get better as it cures, but i dont bother burping them too often cause i tend to open the jar to get bud out to smoke pretty often... so the burping happens without putting too much thought into it .... :)

Thats my way... im sure many people do the same.. and many people dont .. either way its how you like your smoke to be:)

enjoy,`
peace out

alright really i hang dry for 4-5 days then put in paper bags for 2-4 more and its smokeable then jar it but, then theres the cable box i just put about 3.5 grams in paper bag and put on the cable box dries enough to smoke in 2 days maybe wait two more so the chlorphyl will breaK down some so it wont be so harsh...

i use one of those office desk lights that you can adjust the top, stack up aload of cds n put bud at top with the light about 2 inches away, you can have closer for quicker drying but youll burn the thc, after an hour they will go from soaking wet to crispy dry, check them after a half hour.
could work with hids i guess (havent tried) but at a further distance obviously.
