Hey everyone, i live in the northeast and ive got a 10 gallon sterilite tote setup with 6 3.75 in net cups in place that i plan to use for my first dwc. right now i have a closet setup with some soil cups vegging under cfls that ive been slowly moving outdoors. As soon as i have them all out and under the sun:mrgreen: . i plan on buying an htg 400w convertable and getting the dwc started. for ph up and down i plan on using baking soda and vinegar. and for nutes i just bought the BMO lineup. ive done some research and found that ppm doesnt matter as much with BMO which is good because right now i only have a soil ph meter and some ph paper strips. But i have been having a hard time figuring out a good feeding schedule. does anyone have any experience? advice? with these nutes in a dwc setup? im a complete dwc nube but i wanted i like organics in soil and thought if i went into dwc without any synthetic preconceptions it might be easier ive heard organic hydro is easier to stabilize the ph and i figure since its dwc i shouldnt have to worry about clogging. Oh and for seeds i got some barneys blue cheese fem and lsd fem mixed up in the same bag(whole nother post) and thats what illl be using. ++++ rep for input

yeah, thanks for the advice im thinking start with ph adjusted tap water thats been bubbling for about 24 hrs, 2nd week start a quarter strength of spt and slowly work into the grow it green for veg. ive seen the soil feeding chart i could probably use it as a loose guide. And onto the meter i know but im on a kind of tight budget. Do you have any suggestions on a decent cheap one i could get off amazon or ebay? but yeah thanks for the quick response. +rep

I dont have experience with that particualr brand but i can tell you my feed schedule.Start with no nutes, just 6-6.5 phd water.once they are a couple inches and have a few leaves start with a quarter of the feed guidelines. So if it calls for 4 tblspns per gallon use 1. 1 week laterj ust add water to the max amount.1 week after that give them the full dose1 week later refill with just phd water1 week later give them full nutes (if they did fine with that the last time i add a bit more, like 10 percent)1 week later fill with water, then i move on to flower.1st week flower- just water.2nd week flower 75 percent of full nute1 week later efill with just water1 week later full blast of bloom nutes.do that rotation till 2 weeks form harvestthen do a little sweetener (i use sugar daddy) and just water.Last week just water with no nutes, no foliar spray or nothing.Should get ya nice buds. Check out my MOnster

thanks for the good advice rico. I picked up BMO because i also have some soil plants going in a 50/50 FFOF/Promix BX blend and i wanted a set of nutes that could do soil and hydro organic but would be easy on the wallet as well. but idk about using these nutes in my first dwc. I have to get a few more babys outside, get down to htg to pick up a 400w hps/mh, clean out and resetup the grow closet before its on. maybe ill just use the BMO on my soil plants and pick up some gh micro and bloom(lucas style) like i was originally going to do originally. This is my first year of growing and all the ones i started in FEB have gotten huge since i brought them out. when they were indoors i was using ff grow big until i found out it was actually killing my mycros and not feeding them(found out in The REV's greatest Vol 2 Skunk) and i had cal-mag issues (pretty positive). if i ever use FF nutes again it will be in an hydro setup ive read a few different places that its the best way to run a pseudo-organic feeding schedule as opposed to TLO- Total Living Organics. i know ive got alot on my plate for a noob the last time i grew was years ago from bagseeds using MG nutes and cheap soil under t-12 shoplights. I was still in High School and i came home one day to all the plants ripped up by my mom. LOL how things have changed i still havent completed a grow but ive read alot of jorge cervantes and than from there i came to riu which has provided me with way more info but its nice to have the indoor/outdoor bible for a reference. I had the original indoor bible (until i loaned it to a friend and never saw it again) and i thought it had alot more details and i loved the case studies which i wish the new bible included. IDK and suggestions? +rep

Hey everyone i just tried to contact the seller to see if he had some general advice on the hydro side of BMO like maybe a complete hydro schedule (that would be sweet) or maybe just some general advice but i know others must be interested so ill post the info once i get it. Im using the entire lineup as well super plant tonic-great micros and bacterias organics greatness, grow it green 5-2-5, foliar harmony 2-4-2 (as a supplement not a spray, and flower power 1-8-7. ive also found that it may require additional cal-mag it seems the only source is coral calcium.

you can get gh three part for 30 dollars shipped or cheaper in store prob complete. It is a hydro nute and I dont think that bmo is altho I have heard of it being used for everything. I used it in soil. I think a gh three part might make you happier. Easier.

yeah thanks for the advice +rep. Ive been researching and im thinking about getting some flora nova bloom and using the simple lucas formula with it. ive heard great results its "organic based" like FF Nutes right? ive also heard its easier to maintain the same PH with Flora Nova than with the Flora bloom and micro lucas which is cheaper. But yeah the guy from BMO said he would send me a Hydro feeding schedule so im gonna check it out and ill definatley post it to help everyone else out using BMO. My soil plants have loved it so far i wanted to clear out my closet of the lemon skunk bagseeds and im too lazy to dig and fill any more holes so ive been tinkering with a grow box that started as a wooden floor cupboard i took the shelf out but left the frame of the shelf for training, etc. and painted it with 2 coats of latex flat white and started setting up cfls in it and im going to try my first flowering in it they have all stayed pretty small and have been vegging forever in solo cups with starter mix under daylight t5s and cfl's (I started way more than i could bring out) ill start a new thread with pics later and post a link so u guys can check it out i just figured out how to text my cell pics to my email. This things just temporary until i completely setup ive slowly been trying to buy everything i need so i can step it up. ive almost got enough saved for my 400w hps/mh light and after that im going to save up for an htg mother keeper setup with the 4' 4 lamp HOt5 so i can get setup cloning. After that ill be able to tinker with hydro (cheaper), have a constant supply of plants for my outdoor grows(and ill know what to expect!!!!) and use the closet for flowering. Thanks everyone

man i wish someone could help me with my BMO grow my plants look like shit i vegged for 1 week from clones and now are almost 2 weeks into flowering right now and i have been feeding them half strength flower power and super plant tonic and they are pail green to light yellow with some of the lower leaves turning brown.

that big fan leaf is from a mother plant that is 8 weeks old and its been getting full strength grow it green and super plant tonic. the first 4 weeks the mother plants did great, than around week 5 started to show yellowing and brown tips.

my mix is 33 coco 33 peat moss and 33 soil, i keep the ph at 6.5. i thought it was my PH pen so i got another one but that was not the problem. and i only water every 2 to 3 days so i know its not over or under watering, i have them under 2 600 watt hps lights in cool tubes with a fan blowing over the plants with temps around 80-85 with lights on. i dont know what else to do :-?

LOL maybe i should flush out the BMO and use some MG from walmart

No stay strong with the bmo i think your lacking N. flower power almost has no nitrogen in it i dont know if your soil does but if it doesnt id add some half strength Grow it Green to your flower power or even adding foliar harmony would help. but id go with the gig its worked fine for vegging with my plants. Oh and i just got an email back from BMO and included is an awsome hydro schedule that has yet to be posted anywhere ive seen. the only problem is its sideways and in .jpg and my pc an old piece of shit running on windows 98 so i dont have any photo editing software maybe one of you guys can clean it up. Ive been looking it over and it looks pretty solid what do you guys think? and i want some input from the original BMO crew too (i might have to start a new thread in organics:mrgreen: ) here it is
. its been a pain getting this image posted but i got it figured out if anyone know how to make it not sideways anymore let me know:joint::confused:

looks pretty simple the way my soil plants have liked this stuff im thinking i might just have to try this dwc style. im just trying to veg some mammas right now before i start doing experiments. Im thinking about building a stinkbud cloner for fun just because i have most of the pieces already and they look like they do just as well as those expensive ass EZ-Cloners, but i will say it is sweet how they sell the misters so cheap for us not rich mechanically inclined folk. That would rather spend $50 and a saturday afternoon instead of $3-$400 on such a simple design. DIY Is A Way of Life

So whats everyone think of the hydro schedule. pretty solid right? Do u think ill have to add cal-mag? and if i do whats the cheapest way to do it?

i have 8 27 gallon tubs i could turn into a DWC system, im thanking about doing that cause its a bitch working with all this soil mix and it makes a mess.

so how do you feed in a dwc system? do you just keep adding nutes after a week or do you drain the whole nute solution and mix new a batch according to the schedules next week? how much would the nutes cost for a 200 gallon dwc?

eyes why not just get some botanicare cal-mag? heres link to a 55 gallon drum that cheap ways to buy in bulk http://www.google.com/products?q=botanicare+mag+cal+55+gallon&aq=f

Do you think BMO is perfect for DWC if you're away from hours for 10 hours (e.g. while you're in school?)
