You can switch them right now to 5 gallon and I would do so now.

It's really up to you. There isn't really a hard fast rule as to when to re-pot. I usally re-pot at about 3 weeks from seed. It's usually best to wait until your seedling has a well established root system which is usually at about 3-4 weeks. bongsmilie

The sooner the better..

Might as well get it over with now, before you have a big tangle of roots.

3-5+ gallons is the reccomended size :)

The bigger the better! :hump:

I used to put them in cups but now i use a bigger pot. I germ them in my germinator. A shoe box on top of a heat mat with a small plate with paper towel moist in zip lock bag to keep the moisture, when it sprouts move it to a nice little pot that way u dont have to transplant so soon, and remember ,u find out what works best for u. oh and the golden rule DONT TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR GROW. its hard but it is the golden rule. save u a lot of worry.

You didn't say what kind of lights or space you were using , so this is what I do..

clones -> 16 oz cup -> 1 gallon

Transplant when I see roots at the bottom.

Then transplant to 3 gallon a week before 12/12 or 5 gallons if you have room.

I am in a 3 X 4 x 7 ft enclosure with a 400 w HPS.

4 plants is enough for this enclosure.

dixie cups dont drain so your seedlings will have a hard time building a good root base due to lack of oxygen.therefore on your next grow i reccomend using 1 qt. pots(with drainage holes in the bottom) and tranplanting 1 time into 3 or 5 gal. pots.

u guys r gonna think im stupid but i got 26 plants all in dixie cups, under 300 watts of hps. 4 of them r short riders. my plan is to wait till flowering and get rid of males, and the short riders will be done soon then i will hopefully have like 10-15 females.
Then you will need about 1000 watts hps and a great exhaust for that many!

I use the 16 oz party cups for seedlings. Just punch a couple of holes in the bottom. Simple. :blsmoke:

Your light's power output wont do justice to 10-15 plants. If your gonna do that many, you need a 1k light, and still thats too many plants. You will have overcrowding to the max, unless your doing a sog grow.

The most plants I have done under my 1k light is 21..

It worked out only because i use a 6 foot light mover.

Through lots of experience and trial and error, I realize its not about plant count to achieve big yields.

Its about not crowding your plants, and making sure they receive good light penetration at all angles.

Crowding only defeats big yields, and plant health.

If I were you, I would grow out only 4 decent sized plants using the power output your using.

Trust me, You'll be alot happier in the end.

You want big cola's, not pop corn sized bong hits.

Best of luck bro :)
