rep question!!

I get black squares sometimes, I believe that is from new users with no rep points of their own.

It all has to do with how many points that +REP carries, / the user who +REP'd you.

+REP

edit: i believe you are mistaking black/grey squares for purple?

Also, on my old account (got deleted after a server crash) I had like 5,000 rep points, and now I have like 1500 or something. I believe this was from high-rep users (like mods like FDD2BLK) giving me rep points that were like 600 points a piece or something ridiculous.

You can't negative rep. At least not with this template.

Well, I think mods reserve the right to negative rep? Last I heard of a negative rep was a long while ago

I remember on the old template (in 2009) there was an option for negative rep, but it was greyed out for me. It is possible it was disabled, or I myself did not have enough rep points [at the time] to negative rep.

Red- negative rep
Dark colored ( whatever it is you see haha)- nutral rep
Green -positive rep

Neg rep can only be given out by elite members.
They used to have it whre you could negitive rep but people abused it way to much obviously

this has bugged me forever!!

Why do i get green rep squares but sometimes i get purple rep squares. also i dont think purple rep squares add any points do they?
The purple squares are from ass clowns like me who dont have enough rep themselves for the +rep to count as rep.

Or in other words, Rep from a "Stranger" or "Barely able to accomplish rolling a joint" level member does'nt count very much numerically. It is still nice to get rep {even if it doesnt add up to much} when you explain to newb growers why their bottom leaves are yellow, what "Tall" means, etc.

Here's another purple square dude... +Rep

the way the system used to work you needed a certain level thus when you got over a certain point it makes a big boost. When i used to rep people it had a bigger impact as my points used to be about 2400 i think. The sit has changed so much but i hardly ever get or give rep anymore so i am no expert. i would bet its fairly close to the older system though.

Rep is overrated in so many ways. Just hang out socialize and it will grow just like your ganga

I have nothing to do this sunday. No stash... no psychedelics... tuesday however :) 2cb is all mine
Awh too bad man. I'm waiting to sober up from last night before I get baked again. LOL. I had an amazing night with this jwh018. I would close my eyes, and figures and shapes would flash through my vision and explode into definition. Do you know that scene from fightclub where everything is shaking together? Kind of like that with eyes closed. Amazing.

Hey verde check your rep! What color is mine?
lol dude you got 3 green bars of rep.
Your given out green ones, congrats!
Yes, retro is correct. I was kind of joking in that +Rep message I gave ya ;)

I gotta disagree, it's a great system if utilized.

I like looking at peoples usernames to get a general idea of what kind of person they are. I also enjoy giving people some rep for good posts, it's like an internet hi five.
