Can I use 8 CXB3590 COBS with two MW 185 700b?
What wattage and PPFD a bar like this would have?

o_O
Going to be cutting it close....
286v max for that model dont know if anyone has tried squeezing 288v draw on 185h-c700 but seem to remember it being a hard cap.

You should be able to fit 8 of the 36v version on an HLG-185H-C700. The Vf of each emitter should actually be 32-33v, and the maximum voltage output is 286v.

(35v)x8emitters in series=280v in a worse case scenario. ~370PPFD over a 4x4. Two of said bars would be ~740PPFD. Very quick and dirty figures.

Well maybe now you have cxa/cxb and different colors!! Btw your last grow is ended?
Yeah I hate fucking trimming lol. the 4x4 tent I trimmed last week and got 326 grams from 3 plants under 372 watt it would have been 4 plants but 1 took a shit on me but it was my fault I accidentally unhooked the feed line and when I noticed it was too late lol I still got .88 gpw and I had my panels turned down to 186watts per panel no ac at all. I say winning in my book. I can't wait to winter full power. I'll have a different gpw when I finish trimming the 4x8 tent so far I'm gonna get at least 1 gpw.

Assumed he was using 72v version because he said 2x meanwells. If so Im off anyway should be 70v per so 280 total. Still close but I believe doable. Havent been on here in a couple months so i gotta catchup on all these cxb builds.

WOW... I have ordered already... 16 CXB 3500 72V...
Did I do something wrong? 4x (edited) MW 185-700c mA won't push them?

If the max voltage is 286V, then you should be able to put somewhere around 3-4 cobs per driver. I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4. It's cutting it close. Try to worry about total PPF more than PPFD while designing a lamp. PPFD just means you're focusing the light together more. It's better to have even lighting distribution than high PPFD toward the center and low PPFD on the outskirts.

Vescovi you must learn to read... We are telling you same thinks every time, I said you like 2-3 times you going to have 48.8w per cob so if you have 16 you got 780.8w and you have to add driver loss + fans. And I'm lost about your grow area you said 4,5x5 then 4x4....

Now I am scared shitless I did something wrong... COBS DRIVERS FF SAKE... Easier said then done.

I don't really understand PPFD in depth, I do think I understand uMoles or micromoles a bit better PAR... Optimal PAR for plants around 1500 uMoles for what little i have read.

The tray I build for my plants is 4x4. The small closet is 4,5x5 roughly...

Sorry, but I am a bit confused with all the info...

PPF is a measure of total photon flux (umol/s) while PPFD is the density of that photon flux. (photon flux/area)

I want to build a 8x CXB3590s heatsink slab 10"x 24" with TWO MW 185 700b (dimable), because I am moving to a different room that I think will be the SHIATZZ, that's why. Sorry i did not say that... the room will probably need 3 of those.

My company has CNC, metal laser cutters and I love to build shit... Please a bit o' patience with the dude here.
I just want to know if i get more light using this setup... Compared to the last discussed...
