Reserva Privada Purple Wreck 400w grow

Nutrients: AN Iguana Juice grow/bloom

Still missing an inline fan and styrofoam sheets for reflection.

Planted 4 but 1 died after sprouting for no reason, maybe because of this soil being too strong for seeds..

Expecting some nice purple buds

This strain has actually been my stretchiest ive grown.. but then i do all indica or heavy indica hybrids. Ive experienced only two distinctive phenos... the main differences between them are only the leaf shape, and the calyxes on the buds. The first one is the most common for me, but ive had a few of the second pheno now.

The first two pics are of the common pheno thats at roughly 9 weeks flower, and i chopped it at 10.. it was quite a bit more purple around the buds by then. The last 3 pics are the pheno i like more, as it seems to get the buds growing much sooner in the flowering cycle.. this one is somewhere around 4-5 weeks flower. Both are 12/12 from seed.

I've read that their are 4 phenos from purple wreck.. so it could be im miss identifying, either that or i just havent had them yet

Im starting to notice some difference in the leaves think i have two phenos. How tall was yours when you started flowering and what was the final height? Where are your seeds from btw? Great looking plants what light are you using?

That kushberry was not bad at all since it was my first grow with a 250w HPS. Not big nugs, but very frosted and compact with bits of purple inside the buds, amazing stuff

Got my seeds from attitude seedbank. They are 12/12 light cycle from planting and when they show sex at about 3 weeks they are about 4 inches tall, and they finish at bout 24 inches tall 8-9 weeks later.. i have just a 150w hps and a few CFLs on em.

I was initially really worried when i started the purple wreck cus it looked like it was so stretchy right after flowering started. It had a huuuge jump in node spacing compared to others ive grown.. went from less than 1 inch between the middle nodes to like 3 inches in just the first couple weeks. But even with the huge gap the nugs in the middle even fill in the space by about 75% by the end. I used to end up with a single big fat cola and a whole lotta popcorn on most my plants, but with the purple i usually get a medium sized top cola and then a ton of big juicy nugs.. even the bottom nugs on the plant end up indistinguishable later on in the jar. I'm very happy with it

The second to last picture i posted with the 4 nugs on it is actually the bottom most node on that plant.. they look tasty and they dont even get much light... im sold on reserva privada.. think ill try headband next hehe

So here is how the plants look 1 week and a half since sprouting. They are 4", want to get them 15" and then start flowering.

lights 16inches away, should it be closer?

the one that is growing slowest already smells, the other two just smell of green is that normal? my first grow was a clone and it already smelled a bit when i got it.

Man movin fast! looks great! Thats just iguana grow only?

Oh and on the new pheno.. slight bonus to the theory of this being the urkle pheno.. its the first to start to purple this early in flower for me(6 weeks..ish now).. on the others they only really started to purple after i started the final 2 week flush. But then again that could have been cus i wasnt organic nutes? more colors with em? mebbe

I just get a generic strong plant smell with em till like week 2+ of flower..

Im am still not using any nutes..this soil mix has enough for the first weeks.

I have read the leaves get purple with cold temperatures or in the last 2 or 3 weeks before harvest so it must be genetic maybe something triggers it earlier.

How are the buds? Are u going to give it 8 or 9 weeks?

Its chuggin right along, 3 or so weeks to go i think.. startin to get some more orange pistils now...

That must be some great soil, cus those girls look very happy for no nutes!

Dont know if it was a coincidence but the day after you mentioned the nutes, some of the lower leaves started to yellow with small brown spots..my guess is that i have a nitrogen and potassium deficiency.. Today i had to go get the iguana juice grow, just fed them so lets see how they look tomorrow.

Im going for an all organic grow so along with the iguana juice going to get some organic-b, full of b vitamins, and maybe some tarantula or voodoo juice for roots.

Your plant is looking great, what are u feeding it?

I used to use fox farm trio with the first bud pic i posted, but with the plant above its botanicare pure blend pro (2/3rd dose atm).. and happy frog soil. I added overdrive last watering.. may add some molasses. Soo all organic cept the overdrive now

So by my reasoning this ones my best chance yet for *tons* of purple! plus my night time temps have been dipping as low as 67F..

Im back! Basically i ended up finding what caused the yellowing leaves that fucked the last grow for like a week..then some of them hermied (seems to happen a lot with reserva privda PW) and i had to leave the house for 5 days so i ended up cutting them all down..

Back in March still had 2 seeds left and it was annoying me not to get to smoke some purple nugs..

One plant came through and it now 85 cms tall and on its sixth week of flowering.

Leaves are still very green and i dont think its gonna turn purple, is that because of the pheno?

Buds did not fill up as much as i thought it would, due to 400w hps maybe?

It has been 2 weeks since i took those pics and the top bud has really fattened up..my last grow used a 250w hps, and got small-medium buds and not very compact. This time i went with the 400w to avoid a lot of heat and clearly notice medium sized buds and seems they will be denser and heavier than my previous 250 grow. Still i want more lol! Will the 600w make a significant difference in achieving bigger buds??

Another strange thing i noticed is that only in the middle of week 6 of flowering i can smell the plant (very fruity) when i get in the growroom..is this normal? I could only smell it by rubbing the leafs or stalk.
