Reservoir water getting oily.

What's the reason for the water turning oily after 4 days, or what's the reason for reddish brownish films floating around the reservoir? 4x4 table 4 rockwool big mamas, 75 gallon reservoir. In in week 2 of bloom. Only 2 out of 9 reservoirs turned oily, what could be causing this?

do you use organic nutes?
does any light hit your res or while its in pipes?

Bacteria in reservoirs produce a slime/oil that can deprive your roots of oxygen. It could be from dead plant material such as roots or leaves in the reservoir as well.

Light hits my reservoirs a bit, so im going to make covers and see if it happens again. Thanx for responding..

h202 flush your medium then flush with fresh water ph correct .... Then add your new rez with normal shedule and cover up that should help

And it;s best to get the 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide.

So finally..... I figured the problem that was making few reservoirs get oily, Its the black round litttle giant pumpit leaks oil, it runs on oil.
