Resin males

Resin males are good. Let them flower long and watch out for pistols. I have 2 males that show pistols, one has little buds on one of the branches. I refuse to breed with these. I want absolutely no intersex in my chucking. It took about 4 weeks flower for them to show female parts with 3.5 weeks from seed veg.

Ya found a resin male shown like 4 pistons but just reeks might have to pollen chuck see what the off spring looks like...if you find a resin male that throws like 1 piston would you breed with it?

heres a question. when breeding is it bad to use fem plants (like fem seeds).
i always grow with regular seeds or clones from regular seeds.
had i used fem seeds would that corrupt the genes to hermie the plants that grow from them?

I would not breed will fem. seeds at all! Unless I found a pheno that was amazing and could not find in reg seeds....then I would stress test the pheno I found from gem seeds if it passed the test I would but don’t like to that’s just me though.

I've heard good things can come from males with late pistols. I just think it's part of the problem with hermies in today's bastardized gene pool. I'm breeding for lines I can work for future generations. You can always breed it out or at least keep it at a minimum

You can breed with fems and still have the same outcome. Many so called breeders today do it. I personally dont pop fems either

Ive heard higher female to male ratios. Some have said more potency. I'd say go for it tho if you think it looks nice. My first chuck was with full on hermie (pistols and pollen sacks). The result was just a high ratio of hermies in the offspring. I will revisit those seeds someday. Or just redo the cross.
I have an 11 strain pollen chuck in the process now. A 4 way indica, a 4 way sativa, and a 3 way "hybrid". I want to work those lines and then breed them together. Will take a few years but hopefully worth it
