You can add the super mix to the bottom two thirds of your pot. Then make that last third regular potting soil. With any luck the seedling won't get to the good stuff before it's developed a bigger root system. Hopefully avoiding the burn from hot soil.

Alternatively. You could also make that a 50/50 split. Or even dust the hole you drop the seed into with some Mycorrhizae. That Myco stuff forms a symbiotic relationship that'll feed the plant better. As it's able to break down bigger nutrients your plant can't access. In return the plant feeds them.

The only thing with living soils is that you have to use the more natural fertilisers. Otherwise you could effectively be nuking the microherd with salts and other chemical crap. In which case. You may as well be running coco/hydro.
I think for the seedling I'm going to buy some organic seedling mix. As far as the 50/50 mix It would be more like 30/70, Vermicrop being the 70. I will add more perlite to the mix that is cooking. There is also mycorrhizae in the Vermicrop, it's dope shit, just needs to be cooked before using it.

The next grow will be dialed in and should be an excellent end product, but I also believe this will be a great one too just with a few kinks

Day 31
12/12 Day 3

I goofed up and forgot to set the timer to 24hr darkness, instead it got 17 hours... ah well.

Today I did some pruning as well as Installed a screen. The undergrowth is really exploding, and every other day I'm tying down the top further. I'm still looking for signs of Nitrogen toxicity, but can't find too much. I had two leaves from two separate fan leaves give the claw but nothing else. New growth is lime green and no signs of burnt tips. Scrog'ing her felt weird like I was mistreating/manhandling it. She'll look better tomorrow

Also I finished the light trap and the case looks pretty fantastic without the LED light shooting out the back. It's definitely stealth-ier, just gotta figure out a way to make the air filter fan on top of the case not so conspicuous. More pictures to come when Betty is looking better

Day 33
12/12 Day 5

Still not showing the sex, but has had significant growth even from this morning. I watered it yesterday and gave it a foiliar feeding today. Silicate, Aloe Vera straight from the plant, Garrett Juice, kelp, and 2-4-1 fish emulsion. The fish emulsion was a lower dosage as well as the kelp. Looking at the plant 5 hrs later and you can see a bigger and fuller boost. I also took the screen off, it was cumbersome, not even, and made it difficult to tuck the leaves under. As of right now I'm just tying her down. Oh and a lot of her large fan leaves I cut off. I don't know whether that was a good or bad idea, but when the screen was on, the fan leaves were covering up the undergrowth. I'm hoping the plant shows this weekend. Anyways here she is.

WE'VE GOT BUSH!!!

IMG_0316.JPG

Really stoked about the plant entering the flowering stage. Everyday will have more and more surprises, so good things to come.
I also ordered another 50-true-watt UFO LED light. The temps are sitting at 79 with just one, so hopefully it doesn't jump over 85. I saw something in High Times Magazine about anything above 85 and the photosynthesis dramatically drops, is that true? I also bought some gnat strips for my plant for good measure. I did have neem oil that I sprayed on the plants, but I don't think that is deterring the gnats.

Also today marks 5 years of not smoking cigarettes. 5 years ago today I was in a really bad car accident and it's a miracle I'm alive. When I came out of the medically induced coma (tripping fucking balls on morphine, mind you) I decided not to smoke cigarettes any more. At the time I was chain-smoking a pack of Buglers ryo every day and a half. I haven't had a cigarette since the night of the accident 5 years ago. So every year I celebrate being alive by going out to eat. I also bought the light as a gift to myself.

Anyways, here is a picture of the light trap as well as the case with it on. I stacked 90 degree angles on top of each other with a divide for airflow. It's a really simple tek and has greatly improved darkness and stealth.

Man that extra LED will put this over, I just hope the temps stay low

Day 40
12/12 Day 11

Installed the second LED light last night and man the light is exploding out of the little leaks, so as always I have more work to do. I'm also going to make the passive air intake longer in an effort to add cooler air and more humidity. Other than that the plant is exploding and everyday I'm tying her down more. Just preflowers right now, so is it safe to say it's in flowering?

Two days ago I gave it a feeding with a full dose of high Nitrogen fish emulsion nutes for growth, and half a dose of high phosphorus fish emulsion for bloom, silicate, seaweed, Garrett Juice, and Superthrive. I have been having a few fungus gnats, so I put up a few traps and sprayed her water th neem oil, Dr Brauners soap, and cayenne pepper.

Day 65
12/12 Day 37

Man glad to be back on here, it's been almost a months for me. Quite a bit has changed with the plant and it's over half way there although this strain has been known to go 10 weeks. I think it'll be no more than 4 weeks. It's still growing vertically but by very little, the bulking is what's pushing the bud taller. I fed it yesterday and decided that'd be the last time I feed her. Temps have been low at night and hopefully that continues till she's ready to harvest. Right now she has a sweet fragrance with a little cheddar cheese and mango. Other buds smell different. Anywho here she is

Ahhh nice man didnt realise you had a plant on the go, Awesome job on lst looking good. Nice wee pc box to with the 2 ufo's.

Noticed with my own vision seeds and others i have read that most seem to stay quite small and bushy in veg with tight nodes. There cheapeast seedbank here and with those traits good for the small stealth grows.

Wish u well buddy :bigjoint:

Hey dude thanks for stopping by. I have never heard of vision seeds but I'll take a look at them.

Yeah the case suits my needs for now, and the only need that is, is the need to grow. It maybe at the most a year before I can upgrade. But for now, I'll be making sure my plant is taken care of and the soil stays bomb with organics

Wassup y'all.

My impatience is making me anxious! I'm ready to harvest this girl but she still has so much longer to go! She is showing mostly white stamen with yellowing tips along with about 5% orange hairs. Her frosting is coming along nicely as well as filling out the undercarriage of the sugar leaves. It's also really cool to see the tetrochromes stand up tall without an eyepiece. The temps at night have been in the mid to low 60's with day time temps at just below 85. There is a little blue in some of the top bud's calyx and underneath the leaves and spreading is purple. I'm hoping that the temperatures stay low, if not I'm sure there are things around the apartment I can do. Tomorrow I'm giving her a watering with RO water and some silicate.

Do you need to feed the plant with water and silicate only, for the plant to absorb the silicate? I'm kind of confused with that. Could someone clarify that for me?

I'm looking forward to my next grow as well as my outside plants and ones I plan to grow this spring. It's crazy to think that I have only begun to scratch the surface in organics. There is just always something new to learn and you can never arrive. I'll post some pics in the future, but for now here she is

Wassup Y'all

No pictures today, this will just be a small update. The tops have a little blue on them and the middle of the leaves are starting to turn purple-ish. The buds are still fattening up daily and taking more to a conical shape. However the hairs are all still white and tomorrow will be 6 weeks that she's been flowering. I am guessing this is the more Sativa leaning pheno, because of such indicators. Now I don't have a Microscope but I will be getting one in mail either tomorrow or Monday. I found one journal that carried it out to ten weeks! I'm starting to think that this will take longer than 8 weeks. But hey when when it's all said and done I will be a very pleased man. The calyxes have yet to swell but one ones at the bottom of each buds are HUGE. But I am still very new to this. This really my first grow because all others were at friends house, I just built and directed everything. Maybe this plant can ripen quickly? Who knows what the microscope will reveal? Until next time (yeah I'm cheesy)

It's nice to stop in and take a look at your journal @DankTankerous

It's interesting as I own a pc grow case too. I'll take some photo's and whack a pic or 2 in here. Not growing anything in it currently.. Though she'll be back in action real soon!

Mine has a 125w cfl in, which is crap tbh. Your buds are growing far lower than the 125w cfl makes them!

I bought it from a friend. He used to grow 8 Buddha white dwarf auto's in there in pots about half the size of a coke can.

Thank you dude! Yeah it gets really good light penetration. I'm going to update my journal so you'll see the progress. They've bulked up quite a bit since I updated and everyday it's getting thicker and thicker. I'm planning on taking it 9 weeks but maybe more. I'm checking the trich's on it but I'm just waiting for the plant to tell me when it's ready. The calyx's haven't swelled as much as they can. In fact they haven't swelled at all. Also the smell changes week to week. Sometimes it smells like rotten fruit/mango other times it smells like sweetness with blueberry on the end. At the beginning of the grow it smelled like skunk and mint. Cannabis plants are too cool.

I'm considering building a stealth cabinet, however I'm afraid too many people know about my computer case. I would love to supply my own needs but for now it'll be a small hobby, one that I put a lot of time into to have such a small grow. Ah well, at least the political climate is changing where I live

Yeah I've been getting fucked off with property visits. They really slow my shit down and cost me a lot of money and stress. I'm keeping the pc case for this reason! I could do with some more grow furniture. I've got a grow drobe already, But I need more furniture where I can hide plants. Least then I can veg plants silently, so the time isn't wasted. As soon as the visit is over I'll get my vegging ladies out!

Tomorrow will be 7 weeks flowering and the trichs are saying it's time. More than half of the trichs are milky, with amber freckled about. I did see one leaf in which all the trichs are amber. My concern is, is even though the breeder says it's a 7-9 week strain, the pistils are mostly white. Should I go for another week or two, or just harvest?

Flowering Week 7 Day 2

Wassup y'all,

I have decided not to chop it down yesterday, and keep her two more weeks. She is really starting to turn now and still getting fatter and taller. Leaves and buds are turning purple more everyday. Yesterday I watered with just RO water which will be done from here on out. The humidity has been low as to last week I had a RH 70. I installed two small fans to blow air through the buds to discourage any mold. Temps have been in the low 60's at night and low 80's during the day. Weight is packing on making the branches sway more when I pick up the pot. Other than that, that's about it.

What are you feeding it now? I'm sure it's got enough nutes to finish well.

In flowering I like to do small feeds. Like just give it a cup full one day, same the next, just enough to survive, then a decent watering with run off next time.

That way it will only have high humidity for short periods of time too, so lowers the risk of mould.

I'm not feeding anything right now, the soil is some primo stuff, so it will be ok. Just a straight flush, if you can even call it that

Wassup Y'all

The plant is continuing to swell all the while producing sweet perfume. The fragrance starts out very sweet, almost honey suckle like followed by blueberry. It's very exquisite, but I'm a little biased. There are no blue resin hues in this phenotype. The description says a blue haze but when observing the plant from a far they don't look blue, but very bright white. Does that make sense? The plant also skipped blue and went straight to purple. There are purple calyx's speckled throughout the cola's with purple sugar leaves and fan leaves on the top. Bottom leaves are starting to turn yellow, showing that it's peak is near. It's very exciting to look at the buds through the microscope and just see ton's of tricromes. I believe that I'm going to take it to ten weeks. The trich's just aren't there yet and the buds still look like it has more swelling to do. I read on one thread about taking this strain to Week 10 and how it'll reward you with oozing resin. Idk. We'll see. Anyways I've dropped the hours of light to ten hours, and I might drop it another hour on Monday. Thoughts on that?

THE SWELLING CONTINUES...

Wassup Y'all

Although this is my first grow to finish, I am still believing that this plant will be ready by Week 10. It's really amazing to see the calyx's get pretty much swallowed by.. what are they? Leaves? I had no idea this happened, I thought the calyxes just swelled, for instance getting larger in surface area. Anyways the fall colors are coming, with more buds turning purple and getting dustings from the THC fairy. The smell is starting to turn to a dank skunk fragrance with the sweetness at the front of the palate. For the past two days my humidity has spiked to 80% sometime at night. I don't know how long it's 80% for, maybe in the morning hours here? I did put two small fans pointed upwards diagonally into the middle of the foliage. That will keep the air flowing as should keep pm or bud rot out. I'm not concerned just being cautious, plus it's good to have active air flow in the foliage. Anyways here's the pr0n
