Reveg vs starting from seed

Well I am currently 24 days into revegging some purple kush. I started seeds the same day.The reveg plants are all green and going crazy. A few have 4 fingered leaves already. My new plants from seed are healthy but not going like the revegged. I am sure the root mass is no comparison also. Going to post some comparison pics in a few days when their all a month old.

looks good, man.
Thanks. I have heard lots of mixed comments on how long it takes to reveg but, I think if done properly it's way faster then starting from seed plus you already have an established root ball. By the way I took Simons reveg advice certainly worked for me. I figure in another week they should be in full veg and ready for some Lst.

Reveg as in harvest the buds and not kill the plant and letting them regrow? Now that's interesting... I wonder how many time you can do it, and if the bud is less potent?

Do you have to repot at all?

i'm doing a reveg now, my 3rd
the first 2 were excellent, vigorous regrowth, better than the original grow
the 3rd has sucked bigtime, little progress, feeding didn't help
finally figured it out, this strain/pheno(cali-o) has a more vigorous root growth, needed to be root pruned, seems to be taking off now
there are always quirks and twists to this game

I took most off the plant kept the small popcorn buds on the bottom with some leaves.Chopped some of the rootball off and transplanted into 7 gl buckets with my own super soil.I guess harvest will increase the first reveg if done properly.Potencey remains the same.Don't think you can do it succesfully more then a couple times though.

i thought so myself, but i've seen some that have revegged a plant many times, kind of like bonzai
there are limits, and some strains don't seem to like it as much

I think as time passes the buds get more plentiful just smaller.I know my ladies are enjoying there second chance on life. Plus now I am able to grab a few clones to put outdoors this summer.

Well I was going to wait for the 4 week mark but decided to post comparison pics to anyone who doubts this method. Proof is in the pic! This small plant is same age as the reveg.
thank you dozer for posting this and doing the experiment. I hope you keep it up, its really convincing to use the reveg method!!

Yeah I say reveg is way better than starting from seed at least i'll be feeding and caring for plants that I know are females instead of wasting my time on growing males! Not sure of comparison with clones but I think reveg wins that also.Clones take a couple weeks to really get going I don't think they would look like that in 24 days. I am planning on putting up comparison pics throughout this grow every week or two. Thanks everyone for the interest.

Nice lookin reveg man... I have a wonderful Panama Red female I plan on reverting after she finishes for me, and Imo keep her and let her get nice and vegged out again, and probably take some clones from her, and also let the "mother" become pollenated with a nice male of the same genetic line(which is the actual, original, P.R., believe it or not), JUST to make a nice seed stock for myself to continue to grow, and backcross, and mabye even combine with my other "signature" sativa, which is nothing shy of spectacular, called Acupolto Diamond's, which I crossed a lovely male Acupolto Gold with a really nice female Jorge's Diamonds, and I think that my heavily trichome-laden, and profuse stigma-producing Sativa hybrid would be a wonderful mix, and I can't wait to see how mine does when it is reverting to veg growth... I'll post some pics of it... at harvest time in another month ot so, and also after it recovers from the change... If someone doesnt think reverting plants to veg has a place in cultivation and breeding, then they r just showing their extreme ignorance, also...

Well, the advantage of clones is quantity. Reveg vs seed though... a clear winner if done properly as you have!
I agree with quantity but I had no way to start clones on my last grow so this enabled me to keep my best girls going again.I am however set up now with another grow room so clones will be coming soon. And thanks for the compliment.

I couldn't agree more! Urbangroop- If this is the best thing u have to bring to the table, then if I were u, I'd excuse myself from the table of cultivators here, and quietly go fuck myself... But, this is just my opinion as a 15+ year cultivator/breeder... Pure ignorance! The only homo's on here, would be anyone who would follow your disadvice, and totally retarded take on revegging...
Really? Then I guess the gays get bigger yields in less time then us straight folks! Get a Life!

I think some folks are too set in their ways. Like the saying goes You learn something new everyday!

Hell, I may even revert my whole crop of females, and let em veg back out, and flower them again, just to see if it works well, and cuts down my overall time, and gives me about the same yield as before in quality and quantity....
