If the plants are put back into 14-24 hour cycle they will reveg. Sometimes a plant doesn't always make it when I have done it. I'm not understanding them continuing in flowering... just keep it at 12/12 - lights out for brief period won't hurt the plant.

Hi c_toke_420,

I am having trouble fully understanding your post but it sounds like your light is going out once in a while in 5 min intervals. If this is the case, there is no reason to re-veg the plant. A few minutes of darkness every now and again shouldn't be a big issue. Further, you could put a few CFLs as supplemental lighting that will keep the room from going to complete darkness during the 5 minutes intervals. The long term fix to this is obviously to just break down and buy another ballast (pretty sure there are some really cheap refurbished ones if you are tight on money).

To answer the question of whether a plant canbe re-vegged, the answer is absolutely given you aren't too far into flower. If you are already 6 weeks or more into flowering I don't think there is any use in trying. Hope this helps!

Hmmm, I couldn't see the plant re-vegging with only small 5 min intervals of no light. Think about it. The plant isn't getting more light that would be needed to make it re-veg. In fact, it is getting less than 12 hours total at this point. Now is it stretching due to the stress from the lights going on and off? Absolutely. Your plant will be okay, but you will suffer lower yield, less potency, and poor bag appeal. Will you still get blazed? Sure will :). I really think adding a few CFLs for supplemental lighting (they won't go out when your ballast goes out) will be most helpful. Good luck!
